League of Legends Patch 14.3: New Battle Pass, URF, Skins, Champions and Items Rebalance
Bogdan LashchenkoThe 14th season of League of Legends is gaining momentum, and the game is preparing for patch 14.3, which will replace Patch 14.2. Along with it, a new Battle Pass will be added to the game, which will be the first of the season, the Vanguard Anticheat system will be introduced, URF will return, and players will also be able to replenish their inventories with new skins. And where would we be without champion balance?
In this article, we'll cover the main highlights of the upcoming patch 14.3. Below are the details of what LoL Patch Note 14.3 will bring.
Patch 14.3 – Release Date of New Battle Pass "Lunar Revel"
Arguably the main event of patch 14.3 will be the introduction of the New Battle Pass - Lunar Revel 2024 in the game client. Along with it, an Event Shop will appear in LoL, where players will be able to buy exclusive items for Tokens, which serve as rewards for leveling up the Battle Pass.
Patch 14.3 Release Date & Time
According to the League of Legends Roadmap 2024, the patch will be released on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Riot does not plan to deviate from the previously planned schedule, and therefore has provided the exact release time of patch 14.2 in the following regions:
10am AEST (Australia); 3pm CT (NA); 5am GMT (EU West); 3am CET (EU North East); 8am KR (Korea).
Please note that before the patch is released, ranked search servers will be offline for several hours.
Returning of URF
Another important feature of Patch 14.3 will be the return of the URF mode. The exact release date of this mode is not yet confirmed, however, February 22 is a possible release date for URF. On this day, a new set of skins will be introduced in the game, and a micro-patch is also expected.
If you're not familiar, URF (Ultra Rapid Fire) is a mode in LoL characterized by real madness, all due to the unlimited use of abilities. And the longer the game goes on, the stronger the abilities become.
New Skins – Heavenscale
For skin enthusiasts, patch 14.3 will be an exciting release of one of the planned league skins in 2024 - Heavenscale. Heavenscale skins will be the third line of skins released in 2024 (previously, the Dragonmancer and Primal Ambush sets were released). Additionally, along with Heavenscale, the next Prestige Skin will be released in patch 14.3 - this time it will be Heavenscale Ezreal.

Aurelion Sol:

- Stardust Stacks per Champion Burst: 1 ⇒ 3
- Astral Flight (W):Mana Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 ⇒ 50/55/60/65/70

- Singularity (E):Stardust Stacks per Champion Takedown: 5 ⇒ 2
- Stardust Stacks for Epic Monster, Cannon Minion, and Large Monster Takedowns: 5/3/3 ⇒ 2/2/2
Aurelion Sol's itemization has been suboptimal since the removal of mana from Liandry's and Crown of the Shattered Queen. With high mana costs, he tended to adopt passive playstyles. To encourage more proactive gameplay, mana costs have been adjusted, emphasizing Q+W-driven stacking.
Nidalee:
- Base Stats:Magic Resistance Growth: 1.3 ⇒ 1.45
- Primal Surge (E):Minimum Heal: 35/50/65/80/95 (+27.5% AP) ⇒ 50/75/100/125/150 (+35% AP)
- Bonus Attack Speed: 20/30/40/50/60% ⇒ 30/40/50/60/70%
Nidalee lost power in the new season, especially in durability. To address this, her heal has been increased, and additional attack speed is provided to improve jungle clearing and supportive capabilities.
Pyke:
- Base Stats:Base Armor: 45 ⇒ 47
- Bone Skewer (Q):Damage: 100/150/200/250/300 (+60% bonus AD) ⇒ 100/150/200/250/300 (+75% bonus AD)

- Jack In The Box (W):Mana Cost: 70 at all ranks ⇒ 70/65/60/55/50

- Two-Shiv Poison (E):Mana Cost: 65 ⇒ 75
- Hallucinate (R):Clone Duration Displayed on HUD
- Auto-attack Target Retained During Spellcasting
Shaco's fear-inducing presence sees adjustments to reduce his support potential while maintaining jungle strength. Changes to Jack in the Box assist jungle clears, and mana adjustments balance his laning and jungling.
Shyvana:
- Twin Bite (Q):Empowered Attack Bonus Damage: 100% AD (+35% AP) ⇒ 100% AD (+50% AP)
- Bonus Attack Speed: 40/45/50/55/60% ⇒ 50/55/60/65/70%

- Unraveled Earth (E) 16/15.5/15/14.5/14 seconds ⇒ 14 seconds at all ranks
Taliyah, affected by Ability Haste changes, sees a cooldown reduction to her E, enhancing her early game relevance and Q damage.
Teemo:
- Blinding Dart (Q):Quality of Life Adjustment: Immediate application of blind prevents Teemo from taking post-blind auto-attack damage. Consistent debuff duration displayed above the target's health bar.
Teemo's Q receives a quality of life adjustment, making the blind immediately apply to avoid auto-attack damage after the effect.
Twitch:
- Contaminate (E):Quality of Life Adjustment: If E is used as Twitch's poison expires on an enemy, damage is based on the remaining stacks at the poison's expiration.
A quality of life adjustment for Twitch's E ensures more forgiving damage calculation when cast alongside the expiration of poison stacks.

Fiora's sustain, especially in extended duels, receives a significant hit with a reduction in the healing ratio on her ultimate.

Lucian:
- Piercing Light (Q) 9/8/7/6/5 seconds ⇒ 9/8.25/7.5/6.75/6 seconds
- Ardent Blaze (W) 20/18/16/14/12 seconds ⇒ 22/19.5/17/14.5/12 seconds
Lucian's Q and W see changes in cooldowns to reduce his early-game poke and trading strength, promoting more strategic use of abilities.
Soraka:
- Astral Infusion (W):Base Heal: 80/105/130/155/180 (+50% AP) ⇒ 70/95/120/145/170 (+40% AP)

Vanguard Integration Clarification:
The anticipated introduction of Vanguard, Riot's proprietary anti-cheat software, has been delayed. Originally slated for Patch 14.2, the deployment faced critical bugs with the client pop-up. As a result, the Vanguard launch has been rescheduled to Patch 14.5. In Patch 14.3, a diagnostics check will assess if players' computers are ready for the update. If issues arise, players are encouraged to refer to the troubleshooting guide or contact Player Support. The delay aims to provide players with ample time to prepare for Vanguard's eventual requirement.
If a player initially fails the compatibility check, it will re-run automatically later. Alternatively, players can manually re-run it by accessing the settings icon, navigating to "Check for Compatibility" under General > Vanguard System Check. Notably, this check does not activate Vanguard but serves as a heads-up, giving players time to prepare for the impending requirement. Additional information can be found in Riot's support article on Vanguard.
Windows Min Spec Update:
Effective February 21st (Patch 14.4), minimum system requirements are updated, discontinuing support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 in all League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics games. This update is designed to enhance game stability and performance by aligning with widely used operating systems. Players still on these Windows versions are advised to update to ensure uninterrupted gameplay. Comprehensive details are available on the min spec support page.
System Changes:
The Patch 14.3 update brings changes to the Rift Herald to improve control. Initially, for the first three seconds after spawning, Rift Herald exhibits high maneuverability, gradually decreasing as time progresses. Additionally, damage from wall collisions has been adjusted to 20% of the damage received compared to crashing into a tower. Player-summoned Rift Herald trinket spawning has also been accelerated by 1 second.
In the ARAM game mode, champions experience adjustments. Some receive nerfs, such as Briar, Karma, and Twisted Fate, while others, like Ashe, Hwei, Sivir, and Zed, see buffs. Notable item changes include modifications to Malignance, Sundered Sky, and Stormsurge.
Behavioral Systems:
Following the reporting of a player for Verbal Abuse and/or Hate Speech, a pop-up will appear at the end of the game, allowing players to easily block the reported player or adjust chat settings. The duration of most chat penalties has been increased for improved enforcement of behavioral standards.
Bugfixes & QoL Changes:
