Genshin Impact 5.7 Servers Maintenance Start & End Time

Before the release of update 5.7 in Genshin Impact, the servers underwent scheduled maintenance — as is the case with every major patch. Everything followed the usual routine: a pre-announced time, a predictable duration, and the traditional compensation for players. In this blog, I’ll go over all the key details: how maintenance works, when it starts and ends, and what you can expect during the downtime.
When Will Genshin Impact 5.7 Servers Go Down?

Maintenance for Genshin Impact version 5.7 will begin on June 18, 2025, at 00:00 CET and is expected to last for approximately five hours, ending at 05:00 CET. This is standard practice for HoYoverse — most major updates follow a similar schedule.
Here’s the maintenance timing in other time zones:
- Moscow (MSK): 01:00–06:00
- Beijing (UTC+8): 06:00–11:00
- Los Angeles (PDT): 15:00–20:00 (June 17)
- New York (EDT): 18:00–23:00 (June 17)
- London (BST): 23:00 (June 17) – 04:00 (June 18)
- Tokyo (JST): 07:00–12:00
During the maintenance window, the game will be completely unavailable on all platforms. But don’t worry — your downtime will come with a reward.
What the Developers Announced Ahead of Genshin Impact 5.7
As usual, HoYoverse gave players a heads-up a couple of days before the update — around June 16, they released the official “Version 5.7 Update Maintenance Preview” post. It included everything you need to know: when the maintenance would begin, how long it would last, and what players should do in advance.
Here are the key points:
- Pre-installation will be available on all platforms, including Xbox Series X|S — for the first time in Genshin Impact’s history.
- You won’t be able to launch the game during maintenance.
- Once the maintenance is over, the update will install automatically (using a Wi-Fi connection is recommended).
- Additional announcements will also appear on HoYoLab, in the game client, and on social media (including X/Twitter) — so it’ll be hard to miss any updates.

Maintenance Compensation: How Many Primogems Will We Get in Genshin Impact 5.7?

As always, HoYoverse rewards players with Primogems after scheduled maintenance — and Genshin Impact Patch 5.7 is no exception. The developers remain consistent with their approach. All players with Adventure Rank 5 or higher will receive:
- 300 Primogems for the maintenance itself
- Another 300 Primogems for bug fixes
That’s a total of 600 Primogems, which will be delivered to your in-game mailbox right after the servers go back online. Just make sure to claim them within 30 days, or they’ll expire.
And yes — if the maintenance were to take longer than expected, HoYoverse would issue an additional 60 Primogems for every extra hour of downtime.
How Genshin Impact Maintenance Works
If you're encountering a Genshin Impact update for the first time, here's what you need to know about how scheduled maintenance usually goes. HoYoverse releases major game versions roughly every six weeks — a stable cycle that long-time players are already used to. And each of these updates comes with mandatory server maintenance.
Maintenance typically starts early in the morning (Asia time) and lasts for about five hours. During this time, the game becomes completely unavailable — you can't log into solo mode or co-op. Servers go offline across all platforms at once, and all that's left to do is wait for everything to be back online.
HoYoverse always gives players a heads-up in advance. Maintenance announcements are posted in the in-game notice section, on the official website, in the HoYoLab app, and across social media like Twitter (X). Sometimes, a countdown timer even appears in the game client, letting you know exactly how much time is left before maintenance begins. Thanks to this, players can plan ahead and avoid logging in during the downtime.
Overall, this has become a well-established routine — server maintenance is now a regular and expected part of every Genshin Impact update.
