GIANTX1.66Make a bet2.08The LEC Versus 2026 Regular Season, running from January 17 to February 8, has reached the home stretch — this week marks the conclusion. Within the updated format, which replaced the Winter Split, 12 teams are participating: 10 long-term league partners and 2 invited ERL squads - Los Ratones and Karmine Corp Blue.
The entire stage is conducted using a Single Round Robin system within a single group, meaning each team plays 11 matches in total. All matches are held in a Best-of-One (Bo1) format, making every game crucial—especially now at the end of the season. Ultimately, only the top 8 teams will advance to the next stage.
As mentioned above, only two days of the Regular Season remain, but there is also a possibility of tiebreakers. The standings are incredibly tight; over the next two days, the table could shift dramatically, leading to multiple teams finishing with identical records. Consequently, we might see additional tiebreaker matches. While there is no official confirmation on the dates yet, they will most likely take place on Monday, February 9.
To help you better understand all the details of the tournament, we have prepared a special feature - the LEC Versus 2026 Season Viewer Guide. It provides a detailed breakdown of every competition stage, explains the match formats, and introduces the participating teams. Additionally, the guide covers other key nuances of this unique winter event.
LEC Versus 2026: Matches You Shouldn't Miss

After three weeks of competition, the standings have taken an unexpected turn: tournament favorites are fighting for survival, while teams previously perceived as mid-tier have already secured their playoff spots. Let's take a look at the teams whose fate will be the most interesting to watch this week.
The first team I recommend keeping an eye on is G2 Esports. The crowd favorites and one of the strongest teams in the LEC are currently sitting in the middle of the table with a 5-4 record. In some ways, this isn't a bad result, considering G2 had a rough start and finally seemed to wake up towards the end of the tournament. However, the remaining matches and the Best-of-One format are cause for concern. Their two remaining opponents are far from easy: NAVI and Fnatic. If G2 suffers two losses, teams currently sitting at 4-5 could potentially overtake them and knock them out of the tournament.
Los Ratones probably need no introduction for anyone following League of Legends esports. This invited ERL team started their tournament run at 0-4 but managed to pull themselves together and climb to a 4-5 record. Now, Los Ratones have a very real chance of making the Playoffs. Their remaining opponents aren't the toughest: SK Gaming, who are sitting at 3-6, and Team Vitality. While Vitality will certainly be a challenge, beating them is not impossible.
You should also pay attention to Movistar KOI. After Worlds 2025, the team worked on changing their playstyle. In my opinion, this was the right decision and has every chance of taking the team to a new level. Previously, we saw MKOI as an overly aggressive team that looked for fights everywhere, often overextending and throwing away their lead, which led to losses. Now, however, they have learned to play on the back foot when necessary, are capable of mounting comebacks, and rotate much smarter in the late game. This makes them a very strong team in the long run. At the moment, they are still adjusting to this style; sometimes they are too cautious or play a bit too slowly while trying to stick to the plan. But they are using the winter split as a training ground, and perhaps by the Spring Split, we will see colossal progress.
Team Vitality is also impressing with their gameplay this season, currently holding a solid position in the standings. Of course, the team still needs to push hard in their final matches to secure their playoff spot. They have some tough opponents left in MKOI and Los Ratones.
LEC Versus 2026 Week 3 Results

Let's start with the teams that have already secured their playoff spots after three weeks. These include Karmine Corp, sitting in first place with a 7-2 record, followed closely by GIANTX and NAVI at 6-3. Even in the worst-case scenario - losing all remaining games - these teams are guaranteed to advance with 6 or more wins.
Next, I'd like to discuss Karmine Corp Blue - the other invited ERL team. Unfortunately for them and their fans, the team is exiting the tournament with a 1-8 record. Despite this, they still have matches left to play this week. Judging by the interviews, the team is naturally upset, but they understand the value of this experience and the palpable gap between the Tier-2 scene and the main stage. They are full of determination and confident that they will dominate upon returning to their own league.
For Los Ratones, the third week was incredibly successful. They faced formidable opponents: MKOI, G2 Esports, and NAVI. Many predicted this would be the final week for Los Ratones, but Team Caedrel proved they aren't just here for show. LR managed to defeat MKOI and G2—results no one expected. However, they were surprised by NAVI, a team that looked weaker on paper than G2 and MKOI. Natus Vincere demonstrated a very high level of preparation, smart map movement, and control. They avoided unnecessary fights, and in the skirmishes they did take, everyone knew exactly what to do and who to lock down. It was an outstanding performance that allowed NAVI to qualify for the Playoffs.
Finally, SK Gaming and Shifters find themselves in the danger zone, just one step away from elimination. Both teams have a 3-6 record and share 10th place in the standings. Their only hope this week is to win two matches, which is technically impossible for one of them to achieve fully, as they face each other on the 8th—the final day of the LEC Versus 2026 Regular Season. It is quite possible that this specific match will decide who goes home and who continues the fight for the championship title.
LEC Versus 2026 Details
LEC Versus 2026 runs from January 17 to March 1 and is divided into two main stages: the Regular Season and the Playoffs. The schedule is updated weekly, so we recommend keeping an eye on official announcements to ensure you don't miss any matches, especially those featuring the invited ERL teams.
Even without a traditional cash prize pool, the stakes remain incredibly high. The winner of LEC Versus 2026 will earn the right to be the sole representative for the EMEA region at the season's first international tournament - First Stand 2026 in São Paulo, Brazil. This is a prime opportunity for teams to make their mark on the global stage within the updated League of Legends competitive cycle.
Major roster changes and the arrival of ambitious newcomers are putting serious pressure on the established favorites, particularly given the unpredictable nature of the Best-of-One format. We look forward to seeing standout individual plays and intense competition for the spot on the international stage. This concludes our overview - enjoy the show and good luck to your favorite teams at LEC Versus 2026!
