FURIA approaches 60 thousand subscribers on YouTube and presents new lineup with online videos
Bogdan LashchenkoThe FURIA Esports team is going through the first major change since becoming the best Brazilian CS:GO team. In order to win more titles, including the first Major, the organization decided to make changes to the lineup. All of this can be followed by the YouTube channel, which has almost 60,000 subscribers and has become one of the main means of communication with fans. The news involving the 2022 season is being announced in online video format to ensure more reach on the internet.
This can be proven with the presentation of Rafael 'saffee' Costa, the newest member of FURIA for CS:GO tournaments. In just two days, the video featuring the player garnered more than 4,000 views, which shows how well the organization's strategy has been. FURIA's YouTube channel has always been very up-to-date, but in recent years it has begun to draw attention for its most interesting content.
Even the departure of Vinicius 'VINI' Figueiredo, who had been with the team since August 2017, did not affect the closeness of the fans. In early January, for example, the documentary FURIA: From Brazil to the World was launched on the video-sharing social network and was very successful with the public. In just one week, the nearly 50-minute production reached 30,000 views. That's almost half the number of subscribers the channel has. It is these content formats that are successful, and explain the focus on online videos today.
Another important aspect is that FURIA's YouTube channel is not just focused on CS:GO. Although most of the content is this, Valorant, League of Legend and Rainbow Six Siege teams also have space there. Online videos become a way of interacting with fans, something that other eSports teams around the world already do, such as the giant Astralis and the traditional Ninjas in Pajamas. This is the current trend of online content.

Easier and more accessible content
There's not much of a secret behind FURIA's focus on online videos, as it's the hottest format right now in all areas, not just eSports. Even other social networks, such as Instagram and Twitter, have opened space for publications in this format. The ease of creating such content, especially with the use of an online video editor, has made this media gain popularity and dominate the internet. Even the texts and photos ended up losing space.
According to some data only from Brazil, released last year, 80% of people with internet access consume free online videos, and almost always with social networks. This means that the country is ahead of the world average, which is no more than 65%. This format was popular among Brazilians for several reasons, including the ease of absorbing shared information. Some studies point out that videos have a better ability to convey information, even winning over audio and texts.
FURIA intends to lead the HLTV ranking in the future, but this will only be achieved with hard work and especially a great support from the fans. One of the goals with the YouTube channel is to increase this fan base, mainly by showing the team behind the scenes in the professional world of eSports. The idea has been well applied, as the numbers show that fan support has grown on the internet.
