Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2025 Playoffs: Day 3 Results and Final Day Schedule

As of July 18, all semifinal matches of the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2025 have been played, which means only two teams remain in the tournament — Team Spirit and Team Falcons. A reminder: the prize pool of the event is $3 million, and teams also earn valuable EWC points, so the motivation is extremely high. In this article, we’ll cover the results of the penultimate day of the playoffs, highlight the most memorable moments, and let you know when the Grand Final will be played.

Dota 2 EWC 2025 Semifanals Results

There were just two semifinal matches, but both were intense showdowns as teams fought for a spot in the Grand Final of the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2025. The outcomes turned out to be quite surprising and couldn’t have been predicted at the start of the tournament. All the teams that were considered favorites by most fans have already been eliminated. So, let’s take a look at how the penultimate day of the event unfolded.

Team Spirit vs PARIVISION

To the surprise of many, it was Team Spirit who came out on top in this series — and more than that, PARIVISION failed to win a single map and has been eliminated from the tournament.

  • Game 1:

The first map of the series was dominated by Team Spirit from start to finish. Right from the early stages, the team set a fast tempo that PARIVISION couldn't keep up with. Larl on Leshrac and ruu on Batrider were particularly impactful, constantly creating space, applying pressure to enemy cores, and maintaining map control. Despite several defensive attempts, PARIVISION struggled to find any foothold in the game. Spirit stayed one step ahead throughout and steadily closed out the game around the 44-minute mark to take a 1–0 lead in the series.

  • Game 2:

The second map was much more contested, with PARIVISION showing greater composure and determination. However, Roshan became the central objective, and Collapse made the difference by stealing Aegis twice — each time completely shifting the momentum of the match. These crucial steals disrupted PVISION’s attempts to regain control. Later in the game, Miposhka on Silencer stole a Refresher Orb, effectively denying any chance of a decisive counterplay from the enemy. With calm and calculated teamfights, Spirit steadily built their lead and secured victory around the 49-minute mark. The 2–0 win advanced them to the EWC 2025 Grand Final, guaranteeing at least $500,000 in prize money.

Team Falcons vs Tundra Esports

Still, Tundra Esports couldn’t overcome Falcons and didn’t even put up a tough fight. Team Falcons advance to the grand final — an excellent result for them, considering their recent slump and poor performance in previous tournaments.

  • Game 1:

On the first map, Team Falcons demonstrated strong resilience and strategic depth, securing a narrow victory with a kill score of 25–24. The game lasted 44 minutes and 20 seconds, with Falcons effectively using their comfort picks like Timbersaw, Muerta, and Sven to outmaneuver Tundra Esports. Despite Tundra’s efforts, Falcons managed to control key moments and maintain pressure, ultimately closing out the map.

  • Game 2:

The second map turned into a lengthy battle, lasting nearly 100 minutes, showcasing Falcons’ endurance and tactical prowess. Throughout this extended match, Falcons continued to capitalize on their strengths, maintaining composure and coordinating well to overcome Tundra’s attempts to regain momentum. Despite Tundra’s strong record and previous playoff success, they couldn’t match Falcons’ strategic execution, which secured the latter’s 2–0 series win and a spot in the grand final.

Playoffs Final Day Schedule

As of July 18, all semifinal matches have been completed, and the two finalists as well as the two teams competing for third place have been determined — the loser will take fourth place. The teams are Team Spirit, PARIVISION, Tundra Esports, and Team Falcons. Fans can watch all the matches live on the official EWC channels on Twitch and YouTube.
