Luminosity became the champion of the Nerd Street Gamers - Winter Championship
The Nerd Street Gamers - Winter Championship has ended, with the Luminosity Gaming team becoming the champion. In the grand final, the team beat Sentinels (Icebox 15:13; Bind 13:10; Split 11:13; Haven 8:13; Ascent 13:10) and earned $ 15,000. The third place in the tournament was taken by the Andbox team, who beat Equinox Esports (Split 7:13; Ascent 13: 6; Bind 13: 6).
Sixteen teams from North America took part in the tournament, which took place from 13 to 17 January. Following the group stage results, Luminosity Gaming, Andbox, Equinox Esports, Sentinels, Cloud9 Blue, Team Envy, NRG and Built By Gamers. At the end of the quarterfinals, four teams remained at the tournament - Luminosity Gaming, Andbox, Equinox Esports and Sentinels, which competed for the championship.
Thief, playing for Luminosity Gaming, was named the best player in the championship. The player received a 1.08 rating.
