Luminosity Gaming has decided to leave VALORANT

Today we wanted to share with the community that we made the difficult decision to leave Valorant for the near future.

Luminosity remains committed to esports and we are committed to continuing to compete for championships in every discipline we are present in. Leaving Valorant is not an easy decision for us, we are looking forward to the upcoming Riot structure for 2023 and do not rule out the possibility of returning to Valorant esports in the foreseeable future.

We are grateful to the team for their constant efforts to improve their skills and believe that these efforts are very visible in their recent results. Moving forward, we are looking to find a new home for our talented roster where they can continue to compete together for many years to come. For now, the team will continue to compete under the Luminosity banner for the rest of the second round.

Luminosity Gaming 's roster consists of three US players and two Canadian players. They have been playing together for quite a long time, the last result for the team was the passage to VCT 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers through open qualifiers, this is where they will play for the last time under the banner of Luminosity Gaming, before the organization leaves VALORANT. The most significant tournament for the Luminosity Gaming organization was the Nerd Street Gamers - Winter Championship in 2021, where they defeated the Sentinels in a close fight with a score of 3:2 in their favor. Together with the title of the winner, they got $15,000 per team. Luminosity earned $73,750 in VALORANT prize money.

Luminosity Gaming was founded on February 1, 2015 and is based in Canada. They joined VALORANT on August 14, 2020, and on June 2, 2022, they announced their departure, but a possible return, from the VALORANT esports discipline.
