VALORANT EMEA Stage 2 Week 5 Day 3 — Results of FUT Esports vs BBL Esports and Team Liquid vs Karmine Corp
The third matchday of Week 5 in Stage 2 of the EMEA League delivered two intense clashes. In Group Alpha, FUT Esports faced off against BBL Esports, while Group Omega saw Team Liquid take on Karmine Corp. The teams fought not only for series victories but also for crucial points that will define their playoff positions.
FUT Esports vs BBL Esports (Group Alpha)
The series ended with a 2–0 victory for BBL Esports.
- Sunset (11–13): FUT started on the front foot and kept the score close, but BBL managed to take control in the decisive rounds.
- Ascent (9–13): despite being FUT’s map pick, they couldn’t capitalize on the advantage, as BBL closed the game with confidence.
Haven remained untouched due to the ban system. BBL’s tactical preparation played a key role: they banned Corrode and made good use of their pick — Sunset. FUT relied on Ascent but lost momentum and eventually control of the game.
Team Liquid vs Karmine Corp (Group Omega)
The matchup between Team Liquid and Karmine Corp turned into a tense three-map series, ending 2–1 in favor of KC.
- Lotus (14–12): Liquid secured the opening map, although the battle went down to the wire.
- Bind (13–15): Karmine Corp ’s pick worked perfectly, as they held their ground in a close, drawn-out game.
- Sunset (12–14): the decider once again went to KC, who managed to edge out Liquid in a dramatic finish.
The bans also shaped the flow of the match: Liquid removed Haven, KC banned Ascent, while Icebox and Corrode were taken out by both sides. The victory marked an important step for Karmine Corp in their race for the playoffs, strengthening their position in the group.
