Group D at the Esports World Cup 2025 started on July 8 with intense matches. Fnatic secured first place and advanced directly to the playoffs, while Gen.G Esports, EDward Gaming, and 100 Thieves now face elimination battles to stay alive.

Opening Matches (Bo1, July 8)

Fnatic 13–11 100 Thieves

A nail-biting, close match where Fnatic edged out 100 Thieves by a slim margin, showing clutch plays and strong nerves to take the win.

Gen.G Esports 13–4 EDward Gaming

Gen.G dominated EDward Gaming from start to finish, controlling the map and dictating the pace, handing EDG a heavy defeat.

Winner’s Match (Bo3, July 8)

Fnatic 2–0 Gen.G Esports

Fnatic continued their dominant form, convincingly beating Gen.G in two maps to secure first place in Group D and direct advancement to the playoffs.
