The FunPlus Phoenix team outplayed Leviatán 2-0 at VALORANT Champions 2022. After this victory, d00mbr0s' wards made it to the second round of the lower bracket, where they will be waiting for their next opponent. In turn, the Chilean team left the championship, taking 7th-8th place and earning $40,000.

The first confrontation of the game day started on the Icebox map, which became the choice of the European team. At the same time, ANGE1 and the company quickly seized the initiative, managing to close the half in the attack with a two-fold advantage — 8:4. After the side switch, the Leviatán players failed to join the fight, thus allowing FunPlus Phoenix to take the lead in the series — 13:6.

Next, the teams moved to the Ascent map, which turned out to be the choice of Leviatán. Here, the audience saw a little more struggle, as the Chilean team managed to show excellent defense and even got a minimal advantage in the score — 7:5. However, the side switching helped FunPlus Phoenix get back into the game quickly as the Europeans now seized the initiative. As a result, the wards of d00mbr0s managed to catch up with the opponent, and at the same time got the final victory in the series — 13:11.

VALORANT Champions 2022 takes place from August 31 to September 18 in Istanbul at the Volkswagen Arena. As part of the championship, sixteen teams from Europe, North and South America, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, China and Southeast Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
