The FunPlus Phoenix team lost to DRX with a score of 0:2 and fell into the lower bracket of VALORANT Champions 2022, where they will play with Leviatán. In turn, the South Korean team goes to the semi-finals of the competition, where they will meet with LOUD.

The second quarter-final of the tournament started on the map Ascent, which turned out to be the choice of the European team. But if the first half ended with a minimal advantage of the DRX representatives, then after the change of sides, FunPlus Phoenix managed to slightly improve their position and switch the game to overtime. And yet here the South Korean team turned out to be stronger, thanks to which they took the lead in the series — 19:17.

The teams then moved to the Breeze map, which became DRX's choice. However, this time there was no fight, as the South Korean team quickly took control of the game and did not allow the opponent to act from a position of strength. As a result, DRX confidently closed its own pick, thus making it to the semi-finals of the championship — 13:5.

VALORANT Champions 2022 takes place from August 31 to September 18 in Istanbul at the Volkswagen Arena. As part of the championship, sixteen teams from Europe, North and South America, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, China and Southeast Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
