Eight teams from Brazil and Latin America competed for the $50,057 prize pool, as well as two tickets to the upcoming VALORANT Champions 2022, as part of the championship, which took place from August 7 to 14 in Sao Paulo at Ginásio do Ibirapuera. While the first winner was the team KRÜ Esports, the second slot for the final championship of the season went to the Brazilian team FURIA Esports.
KRÜ Esports became the champion of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: South America Last Chance Qualifier, having defeated TBK Esports (2:1), Keyd Stars (2:0) and FURIA Esports (3:0) on their way.
In turn, the Brazilian team FURIA Esports had a great start in the championship, beating FUSION (2:0) and 9z Team (2:0). However, in the battle for the first slot at VALORANT Champions 2022, the team lost to KRÜ Esports (0:3) and went to the lower bracket. Here, the wards of the coach Carlão managed to beat TBK Esports (3:0), thanks to which they took an honorable second place in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: South America Last Chance Qualifier.
