ONIC Esports became the winner of SEA Esports Championship 2021

The SEA Esports Championship 2021 has come to an end. At the championship, which was held online from January 6 to 16, 14 teams from Southeast Asia competed for a prize pool of $33,000. The winner of the tournament was the Onic Esports team, which in the grand final was stronger than BOOM Esports with a score of 3:1 (Ascent - 17:15; Icebox - 10:13; Breeze - 13:8; Bind - 15:13).

The tournament for the future winner began with total dominance in the group. Here, ONIC Esports beat COPIUM (2:0), CERBERUS Esports (2:0) and W KEY (2:0) one by one, showing the best start among all participants.

The team continued its march to the quarterfinals, easily defeating South Built Esports (2:0). However, already in the semifinals, ONIC Esports unexpectedly lost to BOOM Esports (0:2), safely falling to the bottom of the bracket. Here the team gathered to beat Kingsmen (2:1), Sharper Esport (2:0) and Shiba n the homies (2:0).

In the grand final of the championship, ONIC Esports showed a confident game, having managed to take revenge on BOOM Esports, and at the same time earn $8,000.

  • 3rd place: Shiba n the homies — $4,000
  • 4th place: Sharper Esport — $3,000.
  • 5th-6th place: South Built Esports - $2,000.
  • 5th-6th place: Kingsmen — $2,000.
  • 7th-8th place: Bren Esports — $1,500.
  • 7th-8th place: COPIUM — $1,500.
  • 9th-12th place: DivisionX Gaming, Team EVO, CERBERUS Esports and Goodfellas Gaming — $1,000.
  • 13th-14th place: W KEY and NINE Esports — $1,000.
