BLG and TOP Esports are among the contenders to make it to the top 8 of the home Worlds. Some of these LPL teams will be eliminated after the next Bo3.
Let's see who of the pair TES - BLG will be stronger and go to the play-offs of the World Championship, and who will be left out of the TOP-8 Worlds 2025, which this year takes place in China.

After a really triumphant half-year, Bilibili Gaming has not slowed down at all. The team was the first to reach the play-offs of LPL Summer 2023, and also set a local record: the only one in the history of the series finished the group stage with one defeat.
In the first match of the play-offs, TES faced off. The game was played under the dictation of vice-champions LPL Spring 2023 and BLG beat TES very confidently with a score of 3-1.
In the final of the upper grid Bilibili Gaming played against their principal rival - JD Gaming team. The reigning LPL champions left their colleagues no chance and shut down BLG with a score of 3-0.
Unlike the spring split, BLG had a slightly less confident performance in the summer. The vice-champions of the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 ended the summer split in third place, Ledgeiv in the match to advance to the LNG Esports Grand Final with a 1-3 score.
Bilibili Gaming got a pretty serious opponent in their first match at Worlds 2023. Yagao and company played against South Korea's top 3, KT Rolster, and in a 45 minute battle they were stronger.
Next up was JD Gaming and there was no way to win. However, Ledge and the first team of China, BLG got a "free" round against Fnatic, thus making the score 2-1.
BLG ran into T1 in a 2-1 basket and it didn't bode well for the Chinese club. T1 won and went on to advance, while Bilibili Gaming travelled to the net 2-2.
In the final Swiss clash, they met G2 Esports. Bilibili won 2-1, sending the first team in Europe home.
In the first round of play-offs Bilibili Gaming met Gen.G. After a rather easy 2-0, the Korean Grand equalised at 2-2, and everything was decided on the 5th map. It was decided in favour of BLG, who caught Chovy a few times on Akali, and eventually sent Gen.G home empty-handed.
However, after defeating Gen.G, Bilibili Gaming failed to beat their compatriots from WBG in the match to qualify for the Worlds 2023 Grand Final.
BLG faced Royal Never Give Up in their opening match already at Demacia Cup 2023. One of the brightest teams of the group stage failed to do anything against a stronger opponent and eventually left the championship, while BLG celebrated a 3-1 victory. Ninjas in Pyjamas didn't feel Ninjas in Pyjamas in the match to reach the grand finals. Neither did they feel JD Gaming in the final itself.
BLG arrived at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024 as the LPL Spring 2024 champions. They got it by outscoring TES in the grand finals by a score of 3-1. MSI 2024 made their debut against PSG Talon and surprisingly, they beat them 3-2. And in the next match BLG beat their more formidable opponent T1. But to cope with another representative of LCK, the champions of the spring split Gen.G failed: 1-3 and fell to the bottom net. BLG defeated T1 3-2 in the match to reach the grand final. In the grand final itself, Ledge and Gen.G played.
Later BLG played at Esports World Cup 2024, where they lost in the first round to T1, who eventually won the tournament. Next, Bilibili Gaming resumed play at LPL Summer 2024, where they qualified for Group B in first place in the first stage. At the Rumble Stage, they showed their level as they came away with a 7-1 win to take first place.
Bilibili Gaming qualified for the Worlds 2024 thanks to their victory at LPL Summer 2024, where they defeated WBG 3-0 in the grand final. The final tournament of the year was very good, reaching the grand finals, but again T1 and an upset 2-3 loss.
The 2025 season of Long Sogpeg were very confident, as befits the first team of China: two wins in their group and an early exit to the play-offs, but a defeat in the last match led BLG to the bottom net. The main stage of the tournament was played in the losers' bracket, where they beat Weibo Gaming and TT Gaming in turn, but in the next round Ledge and TES took the top-4 position.
At LPL 2025 Split 2, Bilibili Gaming won Group A before finishing in the Top 4 at the Rumble Stage. In the play-offs, they reached the grand finals, but Ledgeili AL with a 1-3 score.
Next, Bilibili Gaming attended the Mid-Season Invitational 2025, where they finished in the Top 4. Next they played at the second international tournament of the season for themselves - EWC 2025, where they lost to G2 and finished top-8. The best result of the season (before playing at Worlds 2025) was LPL 2025 Split 3, where BLG won.
After reaching Worlds 2025 as the strongest LPL team, BLG lost to 100Thieves, defeated Fnatic, lost to G2 and beat VKS.

Top Esports Form: What To Expect From TES
In 2022, Top Esports finished in the Top 2 twice in their home league and then made two appearances at Worlds 2022, where they finished in the Top 10. In the new season, the situation is slightly worse: they finished top-7 in the LPL Spring 2023, managing to qualify for the play-offs but failing to win a single game there.

The group stage for TOP Esports was pleasant, but far from perfect. TES shared the top 4 of the regular season with LNG, going 12-4 in the series.
In their first play-offs match, TES faced serious resistance from EDG. TES defeated their counterparts by a score of 3-2.
TES fell to the bottom seed after a clash with Bilibili Gaming. That match ended with a 3-1 victory for the latter. Further bad luck continued in the lower grid of LPL Summer 2023. In the match for life at the tournament TES met LNG Esports, tried to impose a fight, but were powerless, lost with a score of 1-3 and left the tournament on the 4th line.
TES later played at the LPL Regional Finals 2023, where they tried to make it to the Worlds. Again they came up just short, as TES Ledge beat WBG 2-3, thus losing their chances of making it to Worlds 2023.
TES also had NEST 2023, where TES failed to make it out of the group, finishing 2-1. The group stage of Demacia Cup 2023 was quite easy for TOP Esports: they didn't lose a single match in Group D and easily made it to the main stage. However, in the play-offs, TES did not have the same ease: TOP Esports lost their first play-offs match to Ledgeiv JDG 2-3, which is not too bad considering the overall condition of the teams during the last season.
TOP Esports had a very good LPL Spring 2024 regular season: the team went 13-3, thus advancing straight to the Double-Elimination stage. In their first round of play-offs, TES played against JD Gaming and easily stomped them 3-0. Next were BLG in the match for the play-offs and there unfolded a real drama with a 3-2 victory in favour of Bilibili Gaming. In the LPL Spring 2024 Grand Finals, TES played against JD Gaming and were outplayed for the second time.

In the first match of the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024 Top Esports easily defeated LOUD with a score of 2-0. In the Bracket Stage match, TES played against Fnatic, where they won 2-1. They made their Bracket Stage debut with a solid 3-0 win over Liquid. Next was a defeat by Gen.G, followed by an elimination by G2 Esports and, as a result, Top 6.
TOP Esports also played at Esports World Cup 2024, where they reached the grand finals, but lost to T1.
At Worlds 2024, TES went from third place LPL Summer 2024 where Ledgeili WBG. The Long Sogpeg World Championship itself was won by the reigning world champions T1. Next was a loss to Gen.G, and then a solid win over Fnatic. They advanced to the play-offs after defeating DPlus KIA. Worlds 2024 play-offs did not go well: a 0-3 loss to T1 and a Top 8 exit.
The 2025 Longs season started with the group stage of LPL Split 1, where they drew 2-1 in Basket A. Going into the play-offs Long Sogpeg started from the first round of the lower bracket against a rather chipper Invictus Gaming and won 3-1. The next match against NiP also ended in favour of TES with a score of 3-1. In the lower grid final, TES defeated another top opponent, JDG, to close out the series with a 3-1 score. By advancing to the grand finals TES confirmed their status as one of the strongest teams in China by defeating AL by a score of 3-1.
After winning the LPL 2025 Split 1, TOP Esports visited First Stand 2025, the first international tournament of the season. There they played what they call a terrible game, finishing in the top 4.
LPL 2025 Split 2 played as expected: they made it to the play-offs. In the first round of the main stage LPL 2025 Split 2 beat FPX with a score of 3-1. However, it didn't go well: a loss to Bilibili Gaming in the top bracket and a loss to WE in the bottom bracket brought TES to the top 6. At LPL 2025 Split 3 TOP Esports finished in the top 2, leading Top Esports to the LPL Regional Finals, where they did well, finishing in the top 1 and qualifying for Swiss Stage Worlds 2025.
At Worlds 2025, TES had a solid start with two wins against "Western" teams: they beat G2 Esports and 100Thieves, but fell to Ledge and KT Rolster 0-2 in the play-offs. Later tried their luck against Gen.G in a 2-1 setback and lost 0-2 without a chance.

In this match I bet on TOP Esports. Both teams in this tournament look, frankly, weak. Taking into account the form of TES and BLG, I still lean towards the victory of the former, because what BLG showed against lower level opponents is something. There is nothing to be done in the play-offs with such a game.
Prediction: TES win.
