Let's go.
How The Bookie View It: Top Esports in Favour
Before the Long match between TES and G2 Esports, let's get acquainted with the favourites of the match. In this clash, Top Esports are the favourites, with bookmakers giving odds of 1.7 for a win and odds of 2.3 for a win for Top Esports.
Top Esports Form: What To Expect from TES
In 2022, Top Esports finished in the top 2 twice in their home league and then made two appearances at Worlds 2022, where they finished in the top 10. In the new season, the situation is a bit worse: in the LPL Spring 2023, they finished in the top 7, managing to qualify for the play-offs, but not winning a single game there.
- Tes Esports lineup: 369, Kanavi, Creme, JackeyLove, Hang.
The group stage for TOP Esports was pleasant, but far from perfect. TES shared the top 4 of the regular season with LNG, winning 12-4 in the series.
In their first play-offs match, TES faced serious resistance from EDG. TES defeated their counterparts by a score of 3-2.
TES fell to the bottom seed after a clash with Bilibili Gaming. That match ended with a 3-1 victory for the latter. Further bad luck continued in the lower grid of LPL Summer 2023. In the match for life at the tournament TES met LNG Esports, tried to impose a fight, but were powerless, lost with a score of 1-3 and left the tournament on the 4th line.
TES later played at the LPL Regional Finals 2023, where they tried to make it to the Worlds. Again they came up just short, as TES Ledge beat WBG 2-3, thus losing their chances of making it to Worlds 2023.
TES also had NEST 2023, where TES failed to make it out of the group, finishing 2-1. The group stage of Demacia Cup 2023 was quite easy for TOP Esports: they didn't lose a single match in Group D and easily made it to the main stage. However, in the play-offs, TES didn't have it so easy: TOP Esports lost their first play-off match to Ledgeiv JDG 2-3, which isn't too bad considering the teams' overall form last season.
TOP Esports had a very good LPL Spring 2024 regular season: the team went 13-3, thus advancing straight to the Double-Elimination stage. In their first round of play-offs, TES played against JD Gaming and easily stomped them 3-0. Next were BLG in the match for the play-offs and there unfolded a real drama with a 3-2 victory in favour of Bilibili Gaming. In the LPL Spring 2024 Grand Finals, TES played against JD Gaming and were outplayed for the second time.
In the LPL Spring 2024 Grand Finals, TOP Esports played against Bilibili Gaming and lost 1-3.
In the first match of the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024 Top Esports easily defeated LOUD with a score of 2-0. In the Bracket Stage match, TES played against Fnatic, where they won 2-1. They made their Bracket Stage debut with a solid 3-0 win over Liquid. Next was a defeat by Gen.G, followed by an elimination by G2 Esports and, as a result, Top 6.
TOP Esports also played at Esports World Cup 2024, where they reached the grand finals, but lost to T1.
At Worlds 2024, TES went from third place LPL Summer 2024 where Ledgeili WBG. The Long Sogpeg World Championship itself was won by the reigning world champions T1. Next was a loss to Gen.G, and then a solid win over Fnatic. They advanced to the play-offs after defeating DPlus KIA. Worlds 2024 play-offs did not go well: a 0-3 loss to T1 and a Top 8 exit.
The 2025 Longs season started with the group stage of LPL Split 1, where they drew 2-1 in Basket A. Going into the play-offs Long Sogpeg started from the first round of the lower bracket against a rather chipper Invictus Gaming and won 3-1. The next match against NiP also ended in favour of TES with a score of 3-1. In the lower grid final, TES defeated another top opponent, JDG, to close out the series with a 3-1 score. By advancing to the grand finals TES confirmed their status as one of the strongest teams in China by defeating AL by a score of 3-1.
After winning the LPL 2025 Split 1, TOP Esports visited First Stand 2025, the first international tournament of the season. There they played what they call a terrible game, finishing in the top 4.
LPL 2025 Split 2 played as expected: they made it to the play-offs. In the first round of the main stage LPL 2025 Split 2 beat FPX with a score of 3-1. However, it didn't go well: a loss to Bilibili Gaming in the top bracket and a loss to WE in the bottom bracket brought TES to the top 6. At LPL 2025 Split 3, TOP Esports finished in the top 2, leading Top Esports to the LPL Regional Finals, where they did well, finishing in the top 1 and qualifying for Swiss Stage Worlds 2025.

G2 Esports: What To Expect From G2
At the beginning of the 2023 season, the Samurai made their way to the UK capital to participate in MSI 2023 by winning the LEC Winter. G2 then made it to the grand final without much trouble, also beating MAD Lions quite easily
At LEC Spring 2023, G2 Esports played worse. They entered the play-offs of the tournament from the second match of their group, making it to the bottom of the play-offs. While there, they played against the Lions again, but were unable to repeat the success of the LEC Spring 2023: G2 Esports dropped out of the LEC Spring 2023 playoffs, but made it to the Mid-Season Invitational 2023.
- G2 Esports roster: BrokenBlade, SkewMond, Caps, Hans Sama, Labrov.
Play-In for G2 Esports successful and even easier than BLG's. G2 Esports didn't feel LOUD and easily shut down PSG Talon, beating both clubs 2-0.
Things were no longer as rosy in the Bracket Stage. In the first round, G2 Esports played Gen.G, probably the main contender for the championship title, and managed to take a card from them, which in the realities of today's competitive scene is more than good.
In the bottom set, G2 Esports met their main rival, MAD Lions. The European derby on the international stage ended with a confident victory for G2, confirming them as the best team in the LEC.
At the end of the only international event so far, G2 Esports finished in the top 6. The result is a good one.
Before the LEC Finals, the Samurai took another trophy to their headquarters. It was the trophy for their victory at LEC Summer 2023, where G2 easily defeated EXCEL in the Grand Final.
In the first round of LEC Finals 2023, G2 Esports played against Team BDS. The French gave a fight, but failed to pull more than 1 map.
G2 Esports had no problems first with MAD Lions to advance to the grand finals of LEC Finals 2023, and then in the finals they defeated Fnatic.
In the first match on the main stage of the year, G2 Esports played against Dplus. Being an outsider, the team managed to beat the titular Koreans, all thanks to Hans Sama's crowning Draven. Then they managed to beat not just anyone, but WBG, who subsequently took the top 2.
And then came the miscues, and quite serious ones at that. First they lost to Gen 0-2, then to Ledge or NRG 0-2 (which was a shocker), and finally they dropped out of Worlds 2023 after losing to Bibili Gaming.
G2 Esports will start their journey to LEC Winter 2024 with a match against BDS, one of G2's main rivals on their way to their championship. Expect a solid performance from G2. Next up will be a match against Karmine Corp where it should be easier than the game against BDS. In fact it was, but the match with Rogue was probably the first sensation of last week, because G2 Ledgeili. Well, that's what the Bo1 is for.
During the regular season, LEC Winter 2024 demonstrated a standard game for themselves. G2 Esports won 7 out of 9 matches, sharing the top 1 of the table with BDS.
In the Long Corner play-offs LEC Winter 2024, G2 Esports easily defeated GiantX 2-0. Next, G2 Esports faced Fnatic in the quarter-finals, where the Orange looked good: they were able to pick up a map, but it did not affect the outcome of the match. Next, G2 Esports met BDS in a match to advance to the grand finals and swatted the Frenchmen 3-0 without a hitch. Almost the same fate awaited MAD Lions KOI in the grand finals, with only one card difference.
G2 Esports attended the Mid-Season Invitational 2024 and showed a very solid result there. They managed to reach the top 4, which is a pretty high result for a team from LEC.
Before the Esports World Cup 2024, G2 Esports guaranteed themselves a place in the play-offs of LEC Summer 2024. At the EWC 2024 itself, G2 Esports Long Sogpeg with a win over FlyQuest, but then Ledgeili TES in advancing to the grand finals.
The LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs started with a pretty solid 2-0 win over Karmine Corp. Next, an equally easy win over BDS and as a result, they made it to the top 3. In the match to reach the grand final of the upper grid of LEC Summer 2024, G2 Esports played against Fnatic, where they lost with a score of 2-3. In the lower grid match, they defeated BDS 3-2 and went on to become LEC Summer 2024 champions by defeating Fnatic in the final.
LEC Season Finals 2024 Long Long started with an unexpected defeat to MAD Lions KOI (2-3). However, that didn't stop G2 from comingback through the bottom set, beating all their opponents and eventually becoming the champions of LEC Season Finals 2024.
Their debut at Worlds 2024 came in a match against paiN Gaming, where G2 was stomped by the combination of Yone + Yasuo. In the next match, against LCK Summer 2024 champions Hanwha Life Esports, taqi fThe Internationals didn't work and G2 lost. But they got into the net 2-1, winning WBG in a pretty confident manner. However, they went on to lose to T1 and BLG, dropping to the Top 12.
The group stage of LEC Winter 2025 went 6-3 and 3 wins. In principle, this is not bad, but remembering the performance of G2 last season, we should expect a completely different and better game in the play-offs. In the first round of the play-offs they showed just such a game: they outplayed GiantX with a score of 2-0 without much chance for the latter. In the second round of the top play-offs, they beat Fnatic, G2's main LEC rival, cleanly. Next up was a 3-1 win over Karmine Corp. The grand finals featured a rematch against Karmine Corp, where G2 literally "blew away", losing 0-3.
G2 Esports went through the group stage with a squeak. They finished the regular season with a score of 5-4, getting into the "last carriage" of the top play-offs. In the play-offs they "restarted" and confidently reached the grand finals, but at the most important moment, they missed the championship again, losing to MKOI.
At MSI 2025 Gen.G Long Co-operated with Play-In Stage, where they first lost to Furia (3-2), but then lost to BLG (0-3) without a chance. In the bottom set, they defeated GAM (3-0), advancing to the Bracket Stage. However, they didn't manage to stay in the main stage for long: they lost to future champions Gen.G in the upper grid and to FlyQuest in the lower grid, and as a result - TOP-8.
Later, G2 Esports visited Esports World Cup 2025, where the result was much better - TOP-4. Later G2 Esports won LEC 2025 Summer, the first tournament of the season by the way.

Gragas (3 matches, 66% wins) is sent to the top line.

Predicted Result of the Match G2 Esports - Top Esports at LoL World Championship 2025
In this match I wouldn't expect total domination from the team from China. At this tournament we have already seen how the Top 1 LPL Ledge or the third team from America. And G2 looked quite good this season at international tournaments, and therefore in bo1 can take.
Prediction: G2 win.
