Welcome to EGamersWorld.
We continue to watch the action at LEC Summer 2025 as the play-offs stage unfolds. There are 8 teams left in the battle for the top 3 spots at Worlds 2025 and the LEC Summer 2025 title.
Among the contenders are GiantX and BDS. Both teams will start their way through the LEC Summer 2025 play-offs from the bottom of the grid, with no margin for error.
Let's see which of the BDS - GiantX pair will be the stronger and qualify for the next stage of the LEC Summer 2025 play-offs.
Let's go.
How the bookie view it: BDS in favour
Before the Long Shot of BDS vs GiantX on September 6, 2025, BDS are the favourites for the match. The odds for BDS to win are at around 1.3.
On the victory of GiantX bookmakers give odds in the region of 3.5.
BDS form. What to expect from BDS
At LEC Winter 2023, BDS made it to the group stage, but quickly fell out of it, finishing in last place in their quartet. The result was a top-7 finish.
Next came LEC Spring 2023 and BDS' moment of glory. Completely unexpectedly they reached the grand final, but there they lost to MAD Lions, who were on a terrific spree in spring.
- BDS line-up: Rooster, Boukada, Nuc, Ice, Parus.
Before LEC Finals 2023, BDS played at LEC Summer 2023. They were one map short of reaching the play-offs. They finished the championship in 5th place.
Thanks to the near top places and top 2 at LEC Spring 2023 BDS managed to get to LEC Finals 2023, and also to the top grid, where they got to G2 Esports in the first round. The International didn't end up with anything interesting and G2 had no trouble closing out the match with a 3-1 score.
After the defeat from the main favourite of LEC Finals 2023 - G2 Esports - BDS played against SK Gaming. The German club was unable to give anything to the French and fell with a score of 0-3.
However, BDS' path to the LEC Finals 2023 ended with the game against SK. The team lost to Fnatic 2-3 in the next round of the lower bracket, thus failing to make it into the top 3 of the tournament for direct participation in the main tournament.
BDS have already started Worlds 2023 on a positive note. They ran over Golden Guardians at the Worlds Qualifying Series in class, thus snatching a slot in the same Play-In.
After a confidence-boosting win over GG at the Worlds Qualifying Series, BDS unexpectedly fell in their first match at Worlds 2023. They lost to No. 2 Vietnam, thus becoming the main losers of the World Championship so far.
They managed to partially rehabilitate themselves in the match against DFM. The Japanese club did not provide proper resistance and BDS closed the series with a very simple 2-0.
In the match for the exit here BDS played against CTBC. The Frenchmen outclassed their opponents, closing the series 2-0.
BDS battled PSG Talon to advance to the group stage. The French were a map away from elimination, but on the third map Adam and his Olaf gave his team a chance to clinch a comeback and BDS took it: a reverse sweep in the group stage match actually allowed BDS to qualify for the group stage.
In the group stage of Worlds 2023, BDS first ran into JD Gaming. Obviously, the first team of the world was not up to the French and they lost without much of a chance. Next was a match against MAD Lions and again an ironclad defeat. The BDS final at Worlds 2023 was as ignominious as their entire stay at the tournament - they lost 0-2 to Dplus.
BDS will make their LEC Winter 2024 debut against G2 Esports. Cheers to them! Later on it will be a match against GIANTX, which will be easier, but not easy.
BDS had almost no equal in the regular season of LEC Winter 2024. The French club lost only 2 matches: the first one of the year against G2 Esports and the last one in the regular season against Karmine Corp.
In the play-offs LEC Winter 2024 met Team Heretics. There, the French beat Heretics 2-0 on class. The quarter-finals were not much harder for BDS: again a confident 2-0 win, but now against Vitality. They fell to the lower set after a scoreless defeat to G2 Esports in the small final of the upper set. And already there, they lost to MAD Lions.
LEC Spring 2024 was not bad, but they couldn't reach MSI 2024. They were hampered by Fnatic, who knocked out BDS in the grand final match.
BDS made it to the LEC Summer 2024 play-offs with great confidence, sharing the regular season top 1 with SK Gaming. The playoffs of the Long Sogpeg Championship started with a 2-1 win over MAD Lions KOI. Then met with G2 Esports and the outcome was more than obvious - 0-2 in favour of G2. Falling into the bottom set BSD outlasted GiantX, closing out the series with a score of 2-1. Prior to this match, BDS played against Karmine Corp and it was a pretty tough match, but still ended with a 3-2 win for BDS. But in the match for the exit to the grand finals was unlucky to meet G2: 1-3 and departure to the top 3.
LEC Finals 2024 started with an idle loss against Fnatic. Next was a similarly scoreless win over SK Gaming in the first round of the lower bracket. Next was a match against G2 Esports for the top 3 of LEC Finals, but there BDS lacked literally one map to win and with the score 2-3 they left the tournament.
The regular season of LEC Winter 2025 BDS were, as they call it, "on the thin side". The French club after the changes in the squad took 7 places in the group table of LEC Winter 2025. Play-offs LEC Winter 2025 Long Сorner started with a match against KOI, where being in the status of outsiders, expectedly Ledgeili with the score 0-2. In the bottom set BSD had enough to win against Vitality, and then - a loss from Fnatic and the final TOP-6.
BDS also played at LEC Spring 2025, where they made it to the play-offs, but it was of little use. The final top 8 was ignominious.
At LEC Summer 2025 BDS played in Group B, where they finished in TOP-4, the borderline place to qualify for the play-offs.

GiantX Form. What to expect from GIantX
The LEC 2024 Winter Split was the debut match for the club, which absorbed the EXCEL slot. Incidentally, GIANTX themselves are the fruit of a merger between British club EXCEL and Spanish club Giants. For the 2025 season, the team procrastinated until the last minute to announce a full squad.
- GiantX roster: Lot, Isma, Jackies, Noah, Jun.
After two crushingly bad splits in the 2023 season, GIANTX changed their forester and replaced Targamas with South Korean legionnaire Peach. The change was a good thing, because there is no other way to explain the miracle-run at LEC Summer 2023.
GIANTX not only finished in the top 3, but also made it to the split grand finals, thus guaranteeing themselves a spot in the LEC Finals. Ledge and Vitality are in the finals, but there is no shame in that, you have to understand.
The achievements of LEC Summer 2023 are at risk of being overturned given the experience of the first match of LEC Finals 2023. In the match against MAD Lions, GIANTX looked more like what we saw during LEC Winter and Spring, but not at the summer split.
In the next match, then EXCEL faced Fnatic. That match was more like something worthwhile and ended in a full-fledged bo5, but in Fnatic's favour. For ex-Excel, LEC Finals 2024 ended with a top-5 finish.
In their first match under the new tag, GIANTX will meet Vitality. I think the Ledge Bees will bee. Next up is The International and the game against BDS. If the French can beat the former, it's hard to believe that they will succeed against BDS.
GiantX barely made it to the play-offs of LEC Winter 2024. They managed to do it only during the last match of the regular season against Rogue. They fell to Vitality in the first round of the main stage, which resulted in a quick 0-2 loss. GIANTX had the same outcome in the lower bracket match, where they fell to the MAD Lions, who eventually reached the grand finals.
GiantX finished in 6th place at the LEC Spring 2024 regular season. In the first round of the LEC Spring 2024 Playoffs they played against Fnatic. There everything ended on two maps. And then there was a fight with Mad Lions in the lower grid and lost with the score 1-2.
At LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs GiantX made it to the LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs from the 7th place with the score 3-6. In the first game of the LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs GiantX played against Fnatic, taking the card. The good play from GiantX continued into the next round of playoffs, where the club played against Team Heretics and won 2-1. However, the performance at the LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs ended at the match against BDS, where GiantX Ledgeili won 1-2, thus finishing in the LEC Summer 2024 top 6. Next up was the LEC Finals 2024, where they finished in the Top 6.
The group stage of LEC Winter 2025 ended with GiantX in 6th place with a score of 5-4. Pretty good considering GiantX's overall playing form in the 2025 season. The LEC Winter 2025 Long playoffs started with a match against G2 Esports, where GiantX tried but failed to show anything: 0-2 and went to the bottom of the grid. There they beat Heretics, but in the next round they lost to KOI and left the championship on top 5-6.
GIANTX made it through the group stage of LEC Spring 2025 with great difficulty. They clinched the play-offs of the Spring Split with a score of 4-5, finishing in 5th place and started their performance in the lower grid. However, that was the end of it: they lost to Fnatic with a score of 1-3 and were relegated to the top 5.
At LEC Summer 2025, GiantX finished in the top 3 of Group A, thus earning their way into the playoffs.

Giantx - BDS Head to Head: GiantX edging it out
The teams played each other twice in the 2025 season. Both matches were won by GiantX.
Predicted result of the match between BDS - GiantX at LEC Summer 2025 Playoffs
In this match my bet is on GIantX. Although both teams have shown some poor play in the group stages, I'm sure that will change in the play-offs.
Betting tip: GiantX win.
