A few minutes ago, the final of the upper bracket of the playoffs at the LPL Summer 2021 tournament ended. In this match, FunPlus Phoenix and Team WE contested a ticket to the split grand final.

All three maps followed approximately the same scenario: FPX farmed more, captured space on the map, thanks to which they took neutral objects and found fights or exchanges that were beneficial for themselves.

MVP of the match - Doinb. The Korean legionnaire showed his class again, having played on 3 different champions in 3 maps. Twisted Faith, Irelia and Orianna in the hands of the young talent were fatal to the opponent.

With this win, FunPlus Phoenix secured a spot in Worlds 2021 in the regional rankings. Regardless of the last match, they will not fall below the second place in the regional ranking, which gives them a place in the World Championship.
Team WE will face Edward Gaming in the lower bracket final on August 29, and the grand final will be held in Hangzhou on September 2 without spectators in the stands.
