Game 1 was an absolutely dominant showing from T1 — a performance few expected against Gen.G, who are widely considered not just the best team in the LCK but the best in the world. From the start, T1 played a nearly flawless game: sharp rotations, a highly mobile mid laner, great map control, and constant safety nets for each other. Every player stepped up, and the match ended in a crushing 19–2 victory for T1.
Game 2 began evenly, with both teams carefully feeling each other out. But around the mid-game, T1 made several costly mistakes in the bot lane. They overcommitted to a fight, got heavily kited, and lost four players early — giving Gen.G the momentum they needed, especially for Yunara to snowball. T1 managed to win a few skirmishes later, but Gen.G held onto their lead and closed it out with calculated pressure, forcing a decisive Game 3.
In the final game, Gen.G took full control. T1 started off strong by stealing some early jungle farm from Gen.G’s jungler, delaying his pathing and early timings. However, a series of overextensions and unnecessary deaths from T1 gave Gen.G the breathing room they needed. Once Gen.G’s key champions scaled and won a couple of clean fights, T1 couldn’t keep up. Compared to the first map, this one looked like a walk in the park for Gen.G. Final result: 2–1 victory for Gen.G.
Gen.G’s mid laner Chovy earned MVP honors for his standout performance in the series, finishing with a flawless 1/0/8 on Galio and an impressive 9/0/6 on Corki.
Gen.G continue to improve their incredible record, now sitting at 22–1. T1 remain in third place with a 15–8 standing.
