Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024: FlyQuest debuts with an unexpected victory over PSG Talon
The first international tournament of the 2024 season, Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024, started in Chengdu, China. Twelve teams are competing for the championship title, $250,000, and a spot at Worlds 2024, but the first to enter the fray were the participants of the Play-In stage. FlyQuest and PSG Talon had the honor of opening the tournament.
The second seed from the American LCS (FlyQuest) surprisingly defeated the residents and champions of the Taiwanese PCS (PSG Talon). The series ended with FlyQuest winning 2-1.
Now FlyQuest moves forward in the group stage bracket and will await the winner of the T1 – Estral Esports match. The start of the second series of Group A at MSI 2024 is scheduled for 1:00 PM CET.
