The participants of the LEC Winter 2023 group stage have been determined

The qualifying round for LEC Winter 2023 - Stage 2 has come to an end. Now we know the names of the participants of the group stage of the winter split in the European division.

Vitality, Team Heretics, SK Gaming, KOI, MAD Lions, Astralis, G2 Esports and Team BDS will compete for the playoffs. The teams made their way through the busy Single Round-Robin, taking places from 1 to 8 in the overall standings.

Out of the race were Excel Esports and Fnatic. The title European clubs failed the LEC Winter 2023 Stage 1, after a series of reshuffles, taking 10th and 9th place, respectively.

LEC Winter 2023 Stage 2 will start on February 11 with group A matches. Prior to that, a draw was held within the LEC that determined two quartets for participation in GSL groups with bo3 matches.

Recall that LEC Winter 2023 will be held from January 21 to February 26, 2023. As part of the title European league, 10 teams are fighting for a prize pool of ~$87,000, as well as a ticket to the MID-Season Invitational 2023 and a place in the LEC Finals.
