Deft's Last Dance was a success: DRX are Worlds 2022 Champions

South Korean DRX became the champion of Worlds 2022. In a tense final, the team of 23-year-old Deft beat their LCK colleagues from T1 with a score of 3-2.

At first, the teams exchanged cards, and by the third the score was 3-2 in favor of DRX. However, this did not help Faker and the company to take the 4th title, as DRX stomped the map at number 4 and took it up in a competitive matchpoint.

The Worlds 2022 final has become one of the most epic matches of the year with a memorable storyline. For Deft, it was "Last Dance" - the player announced his intention to end his playing career after Worlds 2022. Before that, Kim Hyuk-kyu tried to win the Summoner Cup 8 times. DRX became the first team to win the main event of the year by advancing to the finals from the Play-In.

For T1, the tournament was no less significant. Faker's club was represented for the fifth time in the Worlds finals, but 2017 was repeated when T1 lost in the finals to Samsung Galaxy with a much more devastating score of 0-3. The unkillable Demon King is defeated for the second time.
