It became known that the grand final battle between Royal Never Give Up and T1 at the Mid-Season Invitational 2022 was watched by 2.1 million viewers in front of their screens, which is currently an MSI series record. This was reported by the authoritative statistical agency Esports Charts. The company also provided data on a number of other aspects of the tournament.

On Twitch alone, peak concurrent viewers exceeded 1.27 million. MSI 2022 outperformed last year's event by 19% in terms of views. For comparison, this is 2.1 million against 1.87. With this indicator, Mid-Season Invitational 2022 becomes the fourth most popular championship in League of Legends. The undisputed leader is Worlds 2021, which was watched by more than 4 million people.

The agency also provided statistics on off-season champions from Royal Never Give Up. In the group stage, the Chinese giant did not lose a single match, and in the Rumble stage, only G2 Esports and the future finalists from T1 lost.

Recall that the Mid-Season Invitational 2022 was held from May 10 to May 29 of this year. 11 teams competed for the off-season title and $250,000. In the grand final of the Royal Never Give Up tournament, they defeated T1 with a score of 3:2 and earned $75,000.
