We continue to watch what's happening in the group stage of The Bali Major 2023. As a reminder, we are now in the 4th game day of the group stage of the last Major a of the season.
Team Aster and Blacklist will play in one of the 4 parallel matches. We have prepared a betting tip for this match.
The match is not of the highest importance, but still The International is an interesting one. A clash of neighboring regions in China and Southeast Asia with different styles of play, but similar patterns of behavior in the match.
Plus, let's not forget the tournament significance of the match. Both teams are on the brink of relegation, in the bottom half of the standings.
Let's see if either team can improve their position in Group A and try to progress to the top of the table, or if we'll end up with a draw without too much change in the table.

We'll open the analysis with an analysis of Team Aster's form. The Chinese team will play this match as favourites.
The odds of Team Aster winning are around 2.8. We've got the advantage, but it's more nominal.
That kind of number hints at big problems for Aster. And you can't deny it: Aster have been very "average" over the season and at the Bali Major 2023 have shown a very dubious level of play.
In the first round of the DPC 2023, Team Aster "gave away" the lead in the region, Ledgeiv on the PSG.LGD. Following a top-2 at DPC 2023: China Upper Division, Team Aster went to Peru, where they played an "average" game, with Monet and company finishing in the top-8.
In the second round of DPC 2023: China Upper Division Team Aster finished in the Top 4, which was already noticeably worse than last time. However, it was enough to qualify for the Berlin Major 2023. At the Berlin tournament, SumaiL, the club's current star, made his debut for Aster. Truth be told, the debut was not the most successful (Top 8), but as a test for the new mid-laner - fine.
Before that, Aster played at DreamLeague S19. In DreamLeague S19, Aster were in the top 9-10. Then, after some frustrating tiebreaks, they failed to make it out of the group.
After that was DPC 2023: China Tour 3. The home league ended in third place for Aster, which can hardly be called a successful result.

However, showing at least some effectiveness in the international arena has not always been possible. A prime example is the recent DreamLeague Season 20, completely failed by Aster. At the 1,000,000 tournament, the Chinese top club dropped out of the second group stage early, which, however, was still better than Liquid's result.
The Bali Major 2023, by the way, began to resemble the DreamLeague Season 20. The team seemed to have forgotten how to play and win, hence the results: an amorphous 1-1-1 is no good.

Rubick was the most frequently picked, with 6 matches, 50% win rate. Keeper of The Light, Storm Spirit (5 games, 80% wins) were also in spades.
There was Monkey King, Underlord, Terrorblade, and Pugna (4 matches, 75% wins each).
Blacklist Form
We continue the analysis of the match with the analysis of the playing form of Blacklist International. In this game, the team will play in underdog status.
Bookmakers cautiously call Blacklist the number two of the match. The odds on the Southeast Asian side to win the game are said to be in the region of 3.6.
The 3.6 for a b2 match is more of a margin on paper, but not an actual one. So it turns out that Blacklist seems to be behind, but the game is not Ledgea Aster. But their season was even worse than the Chinese.
In the first round Blacklist International took top 4, being one step away from the exit to the Lima Major 2023. That's still nothing, because it was worse in the second round.
At DPC 2023: SEA Tour 2 Blacklist International were already in the top 5. Obviously, there was never any talk of a Major.
In between very mediocre results at DPC 2023, the team participated in local events. It was BTS Pro Series Season 14 where BI finished in TOP 3. The key result was their final Top-2 in the third round of DPC and their final appearance in the Bali Major 2023.

By the first matches of Blacklist International it seemed that their song had died, but they still managed to join the race somehow. Remarkably, this happened in a match against Shopify Rebellion, who had previously been run over by Tundra Esports.
Blacklist International's most popular heroes
Among the most pickable Blacklist International heroes is Pangolier. Appeared in spades 9 times and has a 77% win rate.
Next are Rubick (8 matches, 62% wins), Doom (6 matches, 83% wins).
Techies (5 matches, 100% wins) and Enchantress (5 games, 60% wins) were also there.
History of head-to-head encounters
The teams have not previously played each other in face-to-face matches. This match will be the debut.
Match outcome
It seems that Aster should be the undisputed winner in this encounter. In reality, there's a feeling that they won't be able to shut down Blacklist either.
I think Raven and company will be able to close at least the card.
