On September 4, the main Dota 2 tournament of the year, The International 2025, began. The second game day of TI 14 brought us many surprises, including Tidebound’s victory over PARIVISION. In this article, we will tell you how the Chinese team managed to win and the most interesting moments of the match.

Map 1: using the meta and an easy win for Tidebound

PARIVISION is among the strongest teams of this season and secured prize places in most of the tournaments they participated in. On the other hand, Tidebound is a recently formed team with equally strong players, who in their first year of existence managed to receive a direct invitation to The International.

Such a result of the first map was probably unexpected for many. Tidebound played better starting from the laning stage, showing superior positioning and team play. In addition, Marci and Beastmaster built Helm of the Dominator, which is a meta item at this tournament and helps to farm more effectively. As a result, the Chinese team secured an easy victory with a score of 32-13, and the match lasted 37 minutes.

Map 2: Tidebound continue the trend

Most expected that PVISION would recover after losing the first map and strike back, but Tidebound had other plans. The second map followed a similar scenario. The Chinese team seized the initiative right from the start, and by the 10th minute the score was already 6-1 in their favor, and by the 20th it was 16-4.

The team continued to play aggressively and once again easily defeated PARIVISION. The final score was 32-18, and the match lasted 48 minutes.
