Team Falcons’ Skiter on Tournament Preparation: Playing with a Stand-in
Bogdan LashchenkoTeam Falcons’ carry, Oliver “skiter” Lepko, recently shared insights into the team’s preparation for the PGL Wallachia Dota 2 tournament. He revealed that the team didn’t have the opportunity to practice with their stand-in player.
“Fans might see us as favorites for this tournament, but we’re playing with a substitute. Nine, my former teammate from Tundra, is stepping in for Malr1ne, who is dealing with visa issues yet again. As a result, we had almost no time to train together. It was the same situation at ESL One Birmingham 2024. I’m not sure how it will turn out this time. We might even end up in last place.”

Despite the lack of practice, Skiter emphasized that the team remains committed to playing seriously. Falcons always approach tournaments with a strong work ethic.
“We have no expectations for this tournament because we didn’t have time to practice. The only positive is that we’ve played with Nine before, so he understands how our team operates.
I don’t think he’ll have issues adapting to the team, but the lack of joint practice could be a problem. Nevertheless, we don’t plan to take it easy. One of our team’s core principles is to be the hardest-working team at every tournament.”
