Blacklist International Gears Up: Mushi Joins as Interim Coach for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023
Bogdan LashchenkoFilipino organization Blacklist International has enlisted the services of Malaysian Dota 2 veteran Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung as the interim coach for their Dota 2 team during ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023. Mushi, known for his coaching stint with BOOM Esports, particularly their Top 12 finish in The International (TI) 2022, recently parted ways with BOOM as they shifted their Dota 2 operations to South America. Joining Blacklist International, Mushi will encounter familiar faces like carry player Marc Polo "Raven" Fausto, offlaner Kim "Gabbi" Santos, and position 4 support Timothy "TIMS" Randrup. This move follows Blacklist International's recent signings of Abed "Abed" Yusop, Gabbi, and Carlo "Carlo" Manalo, signaling the organization's determination to make a mark in Southeast Asia and elevate the region's prominence. As the team gears up for ESL One Kuala Lumpur, having secured their spot by winning the Southeast Asian qualifier, Mushi's interim role might evolve into a permanent position if the team performs well. The ESL One Kuala Lumpur tournament kicks off with the Group Stage from December 11 to 13, followed by the Playoffs from December 15 to 17 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre. The Blacklist International Dota 2 roster comprises Raven, Abed, Gabbi, TIMS, Carlo, and interim coach Mushi.
