COVID-19 has reached The International 2022 as well. The general manager of the Chinese team PSG.LGD received a positive test for coronavirus, but this was not reported immediately, but after a while.

The organizers of the main tournament of the year decided to punish the team. So, the PSG.LGD team will have to face restrictions in their upcoming matches within the group stage.

In the match against Royal Never Give Up, the team was deprived of the right to choose a side (Radiant/Dire), and in meetings with the team, BOOM Esports and Gaimin Gladiators will not be able to use extra time at the stage of choosing heroes.

Recall that at the moment the PSG.LGD team has two wins, two draws and one loss, they share the third place in group A with the team OG and Team Liquid.

The International 2022 will be held from October 15th to 30th this year. The top 20 teams from around the world will compete in a LAN format for the title of world champion, as well as the largest prize pool of the year. At the moment, its amount is $15,558,395. The venue will be Suntec Singapore and Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.
