Entity beat BOOM Esports at PGL Arlington Major

The fight between Entity and BOOM Esports has ended in the lower bracket of PGL Arlington Major 2022, the main Dota 2 event in August. The loser leaves the competition.

On the first map, BOOM Esports took a rather tempo peak, which was partly the reason for the defeat. Entity confidently outplayed their opponent in 33 minutes with a score of 35:17. It is worth noting that Stormstormer and the team had a total cost advantage of over 34,000 gold.

BOOM Esports were clearly aiming to recoup their loss on the first map. The start of the second part of the series turned out to be diametrically opposed. Yopaj on Storm Spirit destroyed Stormstormer, who played Batrider. The Entity team mid laner died 4 times in 11 minutes. The combination of Enchantress's healing and Juggernaut's ward greatly increased the survivability of the BOOM team in fights. At the 25th minute, Southeast Asians were leading 16-2 and had over 12,000 farm gold. 10 minutes later the game was over. The result on the map is 7:26 in favor of BOOM Esports.

Entity understood what was the key to winning this series. The team took the initiative from the very beginning. In 12 minutes the score on the map was 11:2 in favor of Fishman and his partners. In the 18th minute, Entity killed Roshan and BOOM focused on farming to buy such necessary items. As a result, Entity still managed to win the series.

Today the winner of the duel will play against Team Aster in the quarterfinals of the lower bracket after the end of the match between Beastcoast and Outsiders.

Recall that the PGL Arlington Major takes place from 4 to 14 August this year. The top 17 teams from around the world compete for the $500,000 prize pool and 4,570 DPC points needed to qualify for The International 2022. The venue is Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Texas. The winner will receive the main prize of $200,000 and 820 DPC points.
