TNC Predator and Talon Esports advance to ESL One Malaysia 2022 closed qualifiers

The first open qualifier in Southeast Asia for the Dota 2 Championship, ESL One Malaysia 2022, has come to an end. The winners of the semi-finals were the esports organizations TNC Predator and Talon Esports. Both participants will continue their performance in the closed qualifiers. You can read about the schedule and rules of open qualifiers in the relevant news.

A total of 37 teams from the region took part. Starting from Round of 16, TNC Predator defeated Dream Walker, Myth Avenue Gaming and advanced to the semi-finals, where they faced Army Geniuses, who had the roster changes that we wrote about earlier. On two fairly long maps, TNC outplayed Army Geniuses and got the coveted slot.

In parallel, Talon Esports defeated Execration and GrindSky Esports. In the bo3 series, the participants of the PGL Arlington Major fought against the Mongolian team Lilgun. Talon Esports defeated their opponents with a score of 2:1 and also made it to the closed qualifiers.

8 teams will take part in ESL One Malaysia 2022 Southeast Asia: Closed Qualifier. Of these, 5 have already received invitations, 2 became known today, and the last participant will be determined based on the results of the second open qualification.

Recall that ESL One Malaysia 2022 will be held from August 23 to 28 this year at the Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands, Malaysia. 12 teams will compete for a $400,000 prize pool.
