Officially: The International 2022 will be held from 15 to 30 October
Valve has unveiled new details of The International 2022. The main part of the championship will take place from October 15 to 30 in Singapore at the Indoor Stadium and Suntec Arena. This championship is reported to be the largest in Dota 2 history, as 30 teams from all over the world will take part in it.
We wanted to make the competition and broadcast as fun and accessible as possible, so we decided to experiment and slightly changed the schedule, adding breaks to it and extending the path to the final.
Currently, the names of only six members of The International 11 are known - PSG.LGD, TSM FTX, Gaimin Gladiators, beastcoast, Thunder Awaken and OG. Teams have reached the required number of DPC points at the end of two seasons.
The first stage of The International 11, which is called the last chance, will take place from 8 to 12 October. Then, from 15 to 18 October, 20 teams will take part in the group stage.
The playoffs will take place from October 20 to 23 at the Suntec Arena, while The International 11 finals will take place from October 29 to 30 at the Indoor Stadium. Ticket information for the event will be available at a later date.
Recall that earlier Valve officially announced the venue for The International 11 in Dota 2. The championship, which will draw the line of the outgoing competitive season, will be held in Singapore at the Indoor Stadium and Suntec Arena. The official announcement of the venue of the championship took place during the broadcast of the grand final of ESL One Stockholm Major 2022.
The current champion of The International is Team Spirit, who defeated PSG.LGD in the grand final and earned $18,208,300.
