beastcoast is the winner of DPC SA 2021/22 Tour 1: Regional Finals

DPC SA 2021/22 Tour 1: Regional Finals has come to an end. The championship, which was held online from February 11 to 13, saw the top four teams from the first DPC season of 2021/22 in South America compete for a prize pool of $100,000, as well as precious ranking points. The championship was won by Beastcoast, who beat Infamous 3-0 in the grand final.

The tournament for the Peruvian team started with a laborious victory over Infamous (2:0) in the semifinals, following which Stinger and the company made it to the final of the upper bracket. Here, beastcoast managed to outplay Thunder Awaken (2:1) in order to directly reach the grand finals of the competition. In the decisive match, the team again proved to be stronger than Infamous (3:0), thanks to which they earned $50,000 and 250 DPC points.

Thanks to this victory, the Peruvian team moved up to fourth place in the 2021/22 DPC season standings with 370 points at their disposal. However, the balance of power may change in a week, when the Regional Finals will be held in the remaining three regions.

  • 2nd place: Infamous — $25,000 + 130 DPC points.
  • 3rd place: Thunder Awaken — $15,000.
