DPC 2023 Tour 2 is the second part of the annual Dota 2 ranking season. The tournament series sees professional teams compete for the prize money, as well as the Dota Pro Circuit points needed to qualify for the discipline's main eSports event, The International 2023, which is also the World Championship.
The DPC series was introduced to Dota 2 eSports in 2017 and has regularly evolved over the years. A system with regional leagues divided into two divisions for each of the six regions was introduced in 2021 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, when it became impossible to hold LAN tournaments in 2020.
Tour 2 kicked off on March 12 with Division 1 matches and will end with a clash at The Berlin Major on May 7. The leagues in each region will be played for one month. In between the first division matches and the start of the Berlin Major, the second division matches will be played.

DPC 2023 Tour 2 highlights: participants and prize pool
There will be two divisions in each of the six regions. Tournaments in Western Europe and North America will be run by PGL. The tournament operator for Eastern Europe is Paragon Events, Perfect World for China, Epulze for South East Asia and ESB will run regional leagues in South America. The first division will consist of the 6 teams that finished in the top 6 of the previous first division, as well as the 2 teams that finished in the top 2 of the second division in the previous DPC round.
The list of second division teams consists of the 2 worst performing teams in the first division, the 4 teams that finished 6th-3rd in the previous DPC round and the 2 teams that qualified from the closed qualification.
Each region has a prize pool of $280,000 and 920 DPC points. Division One players will compete for $205,000 and Division Two players will share $75,000. Ranking points will be awarded to Division One players.
In addition to prize money and DPC points, Division One teams will compete for The Berlin Major. For example, West European and Chinese teams will each receive 4 slots, teams from Eastern Europe and South East Asia will earn 3 slots, and teams from South America and North America will each receive 2 spots in the Dota 2 main event this spring.
DPC 2023 Tour 2 format
Matches in all regions will be played in an online format. In each division, the 8 competitors will be paired in a single round robin format, meaning teams will need to play a single match against each opponent. The match format is bo3 (up to two wins).
