One of the most prestigious tournaments in the professional Counter-Strike 2 scene continues. We are talking about IEM Katowice 2025, where the group stage of the tournament is getting ready to start.
High-seed teams are entering the race for the championship title, including the French Vitality. They will make their debut in the tournament with a match against their compatriots from 3DMax.

We open the analysis of the match Vitality - 3DMax with an analysis of the game form of Vitality. In this match they play as favorites with a coefficient of victory in the region of 1.2.
After the triumphant Paris Major, Vitality said goodbye to Dupreeh, and flame came to take his place. The “newcomer” of Vitality has already managed to go through the adaptation period and looks good: the young Israeli has a KDA of 1.09, and this is the third result of the team.

In their debut match at IEM Cologne 2023, Vitality only confirmed their status as one of the main favorites of Group B. OG tried, but were defeated with a score of 16-6 on Mirage and 16-13 on Anubis.
Having dealt with OG, Vitality took on MOUZ, who the “bees” dealt with even more defeat: 16-4 and 16-5.
In the playoff seeding match, Vitality met another TOP club – G2 Esports. A nerve-wracking game, where Vitality snatched a 19-17 victory on Inferno in the overtime, but then lost 10-16 on Vertigo and 8-16 on Mirage.
Having started the playoffs from the first round, they came across Cloud9. “Cloud” tried to put up a fight, and on the second map they almost succeeded, but ZywOo and company were unshakable: 16-11 Mirage and 19-17 Inferno. However, this was the end of Vitality’s stay in the tournament: in the semi-finals they met ENCE and, having lost with a score of 1-2, they were eliminated from the championship.
The top 4 at IEM Cologne did not embarrass Vitality at all, on the contrary, it spurred them on. By the end of the year, they had pocketed 3 more victories at title tournaments: they took revenge on ENCE in the grand final of Gamers8 and twice outscored FaZe in BLAST series tournaments (Fall Final 2023 and World Final 2023).
Before playing at PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024: European RMR B played BLAST Premier: Spring Groups, where they passed the group stage without any problems, and at IEM Katowice 2024, where they unexpectedly failed, finishing in the TOP-12.
At the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024: European RMR B Vitality trampled GamerLegion and Heroic without any problems, giving up a total of 5 rounds over two maps. But then it was worse - a loss to C9, but a victory over ENCE allowed Vitality to advance to the Major.
Vitality attended the first Major tournament of the season – PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024, where they managed to reach the TOP-4, but lost to FaZe Clan. Later they played at ESL Pro League Season 19, where they again started very vigorously and quite easily made it to the grand final, but were swept away by MOUZ.
At IEM Dallas 2024, they started with a very difficult victory over Monte, and then shut out G2 Esports. But in the match for seeding in the playoffs, they quite unexpectedly lost to 9z Team with a score of 0-2. The IEM Dallas 2024 playoffs themselves began much more confidently, shutting out Heroic with class with a score of 2-0. Then a confident victory over Spirit, but a loss to G2 Esports in the grand final.
Before their performance at the Esports World Cup 2024, Vitality attended the Blast Premier: Spring Final, where they reached the Top 4. At EWC 2024, Vitaltiy started with a confident victory over M80, which allowed them to advance straight to the playoffs.
Vitality finished in the TOP-8 at the Riyadh Major, which is hardly a good result. They quickly rehabilitated themselves by winning Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024. At the end of the season, they attended PW Shanghai Major 2024, where they reached the main stage, but failed to cope with FaZe in the first round.
The 2025 season started with a performance at BLAST Bounty Season 1, where they managed to reach the final stage, but not beyond the first round: a defeat from Eternal Fire and a final TOP-8.

Anubis is doing very well (7 matches, 85% win rate), Mirage (4 matches, 75% win rate). In general, Vitality doesn't have any bad maps that they play. Vertigo - 71% win rate in 7 matches, Inferno and Overpass - 3 wins in 5 matches.

We continue our analysis of the 3Dmax – Vitality match with an analysis of 3DMax’s game form. In this match, they are playing second with a win odds of around 4.
3DMAX's track record includes a performance at CCT West Europe Serie #3, which was the debut tournament for the French team. There they reached the TOP-3, which can be called a good start.
Then there was a series of qualifiers and local championships. Among those that can be noted is the ESL Championnat National Spring 2023, which became the first tournament won by the French.
In the second half of the year, 3DMAX's performance improved. Among other things, they won the qualifiers for the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Winter 2023: European Open Qualifier and the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Winter 2023: European Qualifier. They also won the ESEA Cash Cup: Europe - Autumn 2023 #2.

The last event for 3DMAX was the CCT East Europe Series #3 championship. There they managed to reach the TOP-2, but it was not enough: 3DMAX took the TOP-2, losing in the final to 1WIN.
After 3DMAX, we played at ESL Challenger Winter 2023. We managed to get into the TOP-8, which in general can’t be called a good result.
At ESL Challenger League Season 46: Europe, 3DMAX were shining. The French team walked over their opponents with great confidence, which ultimately resulted in the tournament victory with a confident 3-0 victory against forZe in the grand final.
The 2024 season saw far fewer big wins. 3DMAX took the TOP-11 at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European Qualifier, IEM China 2024: European Open Qualifier, TOP-4 at RES Western European Masters: Spring 2024, and TOP-12 at European RMR A.
Before performing at ESL Pro League Season 19, 3DMAX played at A1 Gaming League Season 8, where they took TOP-2.
At ESL Pro League Season 19 itself, 3DMAX debuted as an underdog in a match against sAw, but showed their class and won a tough series with extra rounds on each of the two maps. Then came the match against Fnatic, where 3DMAX made a mini-sensation by beating the “orange” team with a score of 2-0, and they beat them quite confidently, giving up 15 rounds over two maps.
At ESL Pro League Season 19, 3DMAX made it to the playoffs of the championship quite confidently. The only defeat in the group stage was from Astralis in the match for seeding in the playoffs. However, 3DMax's song did not play for long in the playoffs: a defeat against G2 and the TOP-12 in the end.
During the season, 3DMax had other attempts to make a name for themselves at the Tier-S title tournaments. For example, they played at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024, where they took TOP-24, but were eliminated by Heroic with a score of 1-2. They tried their luck again at ESL Pro League Season 20, but this time the result was worse than at ESL Pro League S19 – TOP-20.
3DMax's performance was much better at lower-ranked tournaments. For example, 3DMax became the champions of YaLLa Compass Summer 2024 and took the TOP-3 at Thunderpick World Championship 2024 and ESL Challenger League Season 48: Europe.
Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: European RMR B, 3DMax with a win over TSM, and then, somewhat surprisingly, beat Eternal Fire in the match for the advancement to the basket 2-0. Then – a victory over G2 Esports and advancement to the Elimination Stage.
Directly at the PW Shanghai Major 2024: Elimination Stage 3DMax played at their level: 1-3 and the final TOP-13.
At the start of the 2025 season, 3DMax took part in BLAST Bounty Season 1. However, they didn’t have to play there for long: they lost to Heroic with a score of 1-2 and ended up in the TOP-32.
Next up is IEM Katowice 2025 and the start of the Play-In stage. In the Play-In, 3DMax showed themselves very well: defeating FlyQuest and MIBR with a score of 2-0 each.
