Match Prediction: MIBR - MOUZ | CS2 (CS:GO)
ESL Pro League Season 18Welcome to EGamersWorld.
The big CSGO event continues. ESL Pro League Season 18 doesn't seem to disappear from our screens.
We're still watching the group stage of one of the biggest and most prestigious tournaments of the autumn, where 32 teams started their journey to the $835,000 cash prize and tickets to IEM Katowice 2024 and Blast Fall Finals 2023. Among their number are MOUZ and MIBR.
Both teams are in Group B, where they have already played more than one series. However, this particular one is the key one, as the exit to the play-offs is at stake.
The winner of this B3 series will go to the play-offs, where he will join BIG and ENCE, but the loser will go to the last chance grid. Let's see who will go where, who will win, secure a place in the play-offs and start preparing directly for the main stage, and who of the pair will have to go to the last chance grid.
Let's go.
Form MOUZ
We start the match with an analysis of the European club's form. In this match, they will be playing first choice.
The bookmakers also point to the advantage of MOUZ. The odds on the success of the "mice" is at around 1.4.
It is quite easy to believe in this state of affairs. MOUZ looked good before the ESL Pro League Long Round, and at the tournament they are playing well, with only a few shortcomings.
The 14th team in the world rankings has also renewed its roster before IEM Cologne, which became a test for the "mice". We have already seen how difficult it is for MOUZ to play against teams a few goals lower than NiP.
MOUZ's main achievement this season is reaching the finals of Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2023. There they battled ENCE, but were defeated 0-2.
Prior to Long Cologne IEM Cologne MOUZ made a splash at the Elisa Invitational Spring 2023. They failed to jump above the top 4 - they were beaten by Apeks on their way to the Grand Final.
Back in the season, they made it to the top 8 at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: European RMR A, and then to the event itself. It didn't end well, as the team finished in the top-24 at Major e.
- MOUZ line-up: frozen, siuhy, torzsi, Jimpphat, xertioN.
IEM Cologne 2023 will be a test for the new line-up of the "mice". After Elisa Spring, siuhy, who previously played for GamerLegion, and Jimpphat, who came from the youth team of MOUZ Nxt, joined the squad.
In the debut match the revamped MOUZ roster played against The MongolZ. An easy outing on paper ended in a nervous Bo1 on the dopes, followed by a 22-19 win for MOUZ on Nuke.
Already in the match to qualify for the group stage MOUZ were much more confident. They beat NiP 2-0 (16-12 Nuke and 16-7 Inferno) without any problems.
The first match of the group stage was not a big challenge for MOUZ either. NaVi lost at Ancient with a score of 16-9 and Overpass with a score of 16-12.
After beating NaVi, MOUZ failed to gain a foothold and lost the next two series. As a result, the "mice" at IEM Cologne 2023 took the top 12.
Before ESL Pro League Season 18, the team played at the local championship Thunderpick World Championship 2023: European Series #1. They managed to win, defeating BIG 2-0 in the grand finals.
In their debut match at ESL Pro League Season 18, MOUZ faced mibr. Being the favourites, MOUZ failed to defeat the Brazilians and unexpectedly found themselves in the bottom of Group B.
In the first round of the lower grid MOUZ met Evil Geniuses. The North American CSGO failed and MOUZ celebrated a confident 2-0 victory.
In the match to get here MOUZ played against Heroic. Either the "mice" are so seriously up for the lower net, or Heroic is not here yet, but the match ended 2-0 in favour of MOUZ.
MOUZ Mapple
MOUZ's favourite card remains Inferno. The Mice have played it three times in the last 3 months and won all their games there. Nuke is also doing well, with MOUZ winning 3 out of 4 Nuke games played.
Among the good options are Vertigo and Ancient, where MOUZ have 2 wins in 3 games each.
The most undesirable map is Mirage. MOUZ have played it 6 times, but have won only once.
MIBR shape
We continue the match analysis with the analysis of MIBR's game form. The Brazilian five is the second choice here, which is evident from the odds.
The chance of a MIBR victory is at around 2.8. There is no total gap between the teams.
MIBR had a productive year, but not a successful one. Played in a multitude of championships, but successes were achieved point by point.
They started in 2023 with a performance at the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023. The Brazilians finished in the top 20. Then there were several qualifications, including IEM Rio Masters 2023. At the Rio itself, they finished Top 16, but before that they won several B-tier tournaments, including ESL Challenger Season 44: North America and CCT North America Series #4.
At the S-tier championships, as unlucky as they were. ESL Pro League Season 17 had a top-28 at ESL Pro League Season 17 and a top-8 at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: American RMR, which prevented them from qualifying for the only Major of the season.
- The mibr lineup: exit, brnz4m, insani, drop, saffee.
Prior to the ESL Pro League Season 18, mibr attended a number of other tournaments. ESL Challenger League Season 45, followed by Top 1 there. But at CCT North Europe Series #6, CCT Online Finals #2 and Gamers8 2023 the successes were more modest: TOP-5-8 and TOP-16 respectively.
In the first match of ESL Pro League Season 18, mibr faced MOUZ, the only match of the first round that didn't end in favour of the favourite, as the Brazilians managed to flick MOUZ 2-1.
In the match to qualify for the play-offs, Monte met ENCE. Despite the different weight classes, the Brazilian five gave ENCE serious competition: two matches ended on dops (18-22 on Vertigo in favour of ENCE and 19-17 on Anubis), but on Ancient the Brazilians were edged 11-16, thus falling to the lower net.
In the previous match, MIBR played against Ukrainian club Monte. Not without problems, but MIBR closed the series with a score of 2-1 in their favour.
The mibr mapplepool
mibr has a rather narrow pool of cards. Among the most popular are Mirage and Nuke (2 matches and 50% wins on each).
Next is Anubis (5 matches, 2 wins). Among the worst are Inferno and Ancient (3 matches each and 1 win).
History of head-to-head meetings
The teams have already played each other in ESL Pro League Season 18, in the first match of the top grid. Then the victory was celebrated by MIBR (2-1).
Predicted result of the match MIBR - MOUZ in ESL Pro League Season 18
The match promises to be hot, and there are several arguments in favour of it. The most trivial one is the good level of play of the two teams. Besides, this is a kind of revenge of "mice", and also - the importance of the match, where the passage to the play-offs is at stake.
All in all, it looks like a full-fledged Bo3, but when it comes to the winner, I see the Mice as the winner. The team is rushing along the lower grid confidently beating Heroic level rivals, while MIBR are fiddling with Monte.
Bottom line: MOUZ wins.
