The big Counter-Strike 2 celebration is coming. We are just days away from the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 tournament.
Like all CS2 Major tournaments, BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 will start with a qualifying stage. There 16 teams will play for 8 slots in the next stage and among them are OG and Complexity.
We'll see which of the OG - CoL pairing will be stronger and earn the first win on their way to the Legends stage.

Complexity Form
Let's open the CoL vs OG match with an analysis of CoL's form. In this match the North American club will play as favourites with odds to win at around 1.6.
Complexity played at IEM Masters Cologne 2023, where they finished early. CoL crashed out at the Long Island Play-In, losing to OG and finishing in the top 24.

Complexity partially overcame the failure by winning the local Thunderpick World Championship 2023: North America Series #2. Nouns were defeated in the grand finals.
In the first match at the EPL S18 Complexity faced 9INE. The Poles put up a good fight, but couldn't pull out a win - the result was 2-1 in favour of CoL. In the match to come here Complexity surprised perhaps everyone. They ran over Cloud9 with an ice rink, closing the series 2-0 in their favour. They didn't manage to play long in the play-offs. CoL went straight to the second round of the main stage, but there they lost to Monte with a 1-2 score, finishing in the top-12.
Before the IEM Sydney 2023 Long Convergence, Monte fuelled themselves with a win on American Blast. They defeated Team Liquid 2-0 in the grand final of the qualifier, thus earning themselves a place at the autumn finals.
In the first round of IEM Sydney 2023 CoL played against Monte. Ukrainian club gave a fight, but the forces were enough only for 9 rounds. Next, the Americans met with the "samurai" from G2 Esports. They gave a fight, but it was not enough: as a result, G2 closed the series with a score of 2-0, giving the Americans a total of 14 rounds. After the defeat from G2 in the group stage, Complexity seemed to go off the chain: the club started to gain momentum and go head-to-head: first 2-1 against Cloud9, then a confident 2-0 against Monte, and then - play-offs. In the main stage of IEM Sydney 2023 CoL ran over BB Team (2-0) in the first round, and in the semi-finals they avenged their group loss to G2 Esports by knocking M0nesy and company out of the tournament with a 2-0 win.
After a top performance at IEM Sydney 2023, CoL travelled to play Thunderpick World Championship 2023. There the result was more modest - now top 9 with a 1-2 loss to MOUZ.
At BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2023 Complexity got into Group A, where they played two matches. In the first, they beat Astralis 2-0, followed by Ledge and Vitality (1-2) in the play-offs seeding match. In the first round of play-offs Complexity played against Natus Vincere. The match ended in favour of the Americans, although the game was close (2-1).
CoL finished their way through BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2023 in the second round of play-offs, and fell out after a meeting with FaZe. As a result, CoL finished in the top 4 at BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2023 and lost their chance to play at the World Final.
Next up was Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 and ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2023. At the former CoL finished in the top 8, and at the latter they finished in the top 6.
The 2024 season started with a victory at the American PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: North American Qualifier, but then - failure. It happened at the BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2024 tournament, where the Americans took TOP-16. In addition, they played at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, where they finished in the top-11.
Before playing at IEM Dallas 2024 CoL visited ESL Pro League Season 19, where they reached TOP-4. At IEM Dallas 2024 Complexity made it to the Top 16, then made it to the Top 8 at YaLLa Compass 2024 and won ESL Challengers at DreamHack Summer 2024.
They also attended ESports World Cup 2024, where they failed to make it out of the Opening Stage. They got to IEM Cologne 2024 thanks to ESL NA rating. At the championship itself they played very "average", ranking TOP-9-12. In addition, they played at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024, where they finished at TOP-8.
ESL Pro League S20 opened with a match against M80, where they lost 0-2 without a chance. They defeated Astralis and MOUZ in the middle set of their group, but lost to BIG in the last chance set. Already there the team beat MOUZ again, thus knocking out their place in the main stage. In the first round of play-offs CoL sensationally beat FaZe with the score 2-0. However, it was not possible to pass further, because Liquid got in the way, who knocked out CoL at the stage of TOP-12.
After a very cheerful ESL Pro League S20, CoL played at the Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024, where they finished in the top-12. At PW Shanghai Major 2024, CoL made it to the PW Shanghai Major 2024 thanks to a top-3-5 finish at American RMR (3-1 score).
Chinese Major CoL Long CoL started with a defeat by FlyQuest, which was the main sensation of the first round, and then lost to Passion UA. However, we managed to pull ourselves together in the following games and got two clean wins over Imperial and C9. In the match for life we lost, Ledgeiv BIG with the score 2-3.
We played BLAST Bounty Season 1. Well, as played, tried to play, but failed miserably, taking there the top-32.
At the IEM Katowice 2025 CoL Long Season 1 we played the expected defeat from Eternal Fire with the score 0-2. Next was a lower grid match against Liquid, a 0-2 loss and a final top-28 ranking.
They continued the 2025 season with a game at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, where they finished in the top-14, failing to advance past the group stage. After failing in Cluj-Napoca, CoL attended another PGL tournament - PGL Bucharest 2025. There they defeated FURIA and Falcons, but in the match for the play-offs Ledge and G2. However, at the second attempt they got to the main stage, beating FaZe with the score 2-0. In the play-offs PGL Bucharest 2025 CoL beat Aurora 2-1. After making it to the top 4, they met G2 Esports, where they lost 0-2.
After playing at PGL Bucharest 2025, they played at another S-tier tournament - Intel Extreme Masters Melbourne 2025, where they finished in the top 12.
At BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 CoL went through the US qualifiers.
Complexity's mappool
Complexity's map roll is pretty sad. The most successful map is Overpass with 5 wins in 9 matches.
They can also play Nuke, Ancient and Anubis. But they have 33% wins each, with a very poor record of 6 and 3 maps respectively.
OG Form
Let's continue the analysis of OG vs CoL match with the analysis of OG form. In this match they play as an outsider with odds to win around 2.5.
Before IEM Cologne 2023, OG failed to qualify for the last chance at Gamers8 and also finished in the top 12 of the BLAST Premier: Fall 2023 Groups.

Recent replacements in the form of FASHR, k1to and Regali joining the team a month ago are still not paying off. The Frenchman and the German have ratings below 0.89 and 0.94 and this is the worst among the team, which, however, does not shine with bright personalities.
Despite the dismal statistics of the players in recent months, in the first match against 9INE OG looked good, although they failed to get the win. They lost to the Poles on Overpass with a score of 17-19.
Cologne itself did not end well for the Europeans. OG lost to NaVi in the last chance set, and then prematurely left the championship.
After failing at a major event, OG took to playing everything. Mostly small tournaments: CCT Online Finals #2, CCT East Europe Series #1, Pinnacle Cup V, qualifiers for IEM Sydney 2023, Thunderpick World Championship 2023: European Series #2, and CCT Online Finals #3 with BLAST Premier: Fall European Showdown 2023 and CCT North Europe Series #8. I purposely didn't separate
these andVent and lumped them together, as everywhere on them OG dissolved.In the best case it was TOP-6, like at the qualifiers for IEM Sydney, and on average - TOP-8.
They also played at Roobet Cup 2023 where the team finished top-12. This was followed by the BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 where the OGs pleasantly surprised by reaching the Top 4.
In the 2024 season, there were no high-profile results like Top 4 at BLAST Premier: World Final 2023. The maximum heights were Top 4 BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024 and Top 4 at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024. There were also lower class tournaments like Fall Groups 2024 with a top-8 and Thunderpick World Championship 2024: European Series #2.
We played Thunderpick World Championship 2024, where we finished in the top 4. This was just about the best result of the 2024 season.
In the 2025 season, OG continued to find themselves, as they call it. Among the landmark results, except for the victory at CCT Season 2 European Series #20.
On BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 came thanks to a win at European Qualification.
OG Mapple
The only map OG has won in the last 3 months is Mirage. They won against BIG, but 2 losses later.
They tried to make something up on Inferno and Ancient, but they lost twice there, and then there was Overpass and also a loss.
History of head-to-head meetings between CoL and OG
The last time the teams met each other was in July 2024. Then the victory was celebrated by CoL.

In this match my bet is definitely on CoL. They consistently attend S-tier tournaments and sometimes show a good game there, which can't be said about OG.
