We continue our series of betting tips dedicated to BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 – the main tournament of the summer. The world championship is in its first stage, from which 8 out of 16 teams will advance further.
Among the contenders for advancement are BB and Legacy, although they are not that close to qualifying yet. Both teams finished the first day of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 with a 1-1 score.
Let’s try to figure out who from the BB – Legacy pair will come out stronger and move on to the 2-1 stage, and who will have to play a do-or-die match in the next round.
How the bookies view it: BB favorite
Before starting the match analysis and forming our betting prediction, we need to understand which of the BB – Legacy pair is the favorite. The most reliable way to find out is to look at the bookmakers’ odds.
Almost all leading esports betting tips agree that BB is the favorite in this match. The average odds for their victory are around 1.6. It’s easy to agree with this, as BB more frequently appears in Tier-S events. That’s experience, even despite quite mediocre performances in many of those tournaments.
However, let’s take it step by step.

Our betting tips for the BB – Legacy match begin with a look at the favorite, BB Team. Let’s see why they’re being called the favorite.
In 2023, they played in 12 tournaments, including 3 qualifiers. They started the past year by qualifying for IEM Sydney 2023. Later, they played in CCT East Europe Series #2, where they finished in the TOP-16.
In October 2023, they participated in the only S-tier tournament of the year. That was Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023, where BB achieved a decent result: they reached the TOP-6, losing to Complexity, the eventual runner-up of the tournament.
After a confident run in the Australian event, BB returned to more modest tournaments. That included CCT East Europe Series #3 with a totally failed TOP-16 result, but then they won CCT Central Europe Series #8 – finishing TOP-1 slightly improved the situation.

They managed to climb to the TOP-16 of the HLTV world ranking thanks to a series of successful performances at the end of the year. BB took TOP-2 at A1 Gaming League Season 7, TOP-4 at BB Dacha and YaLLa Compass Fall 2023.
The last tournament before the start of IEM Katowice 2024 was the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European Qualifier A. There, BB reached the TOP-5, which was enough to qualify for the European RMR A. Katowice itself was a complete failure for BB: they finished TOP-21-24.
After that failure at one of the IEM series tournaments, BB attended several more big events. These included the IEM Dallas 2024 qualifier and ESL Pro League Season 19. At the first, BB took TOP-8, and at EPL S19 – TOP-16.
In the second half of the year, BB played in tournaments a level below Katowice, Dallas, and ESL Pro League, but their results were similar. For example, they attended Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2, where they finished in the TOP-12, and also participated in Thunderpick World Championship 2024: European Series #2, finishing TOP-4. Just before the PW Shanghai Major 2024: European RMR A, the team played at YaLLa Compass Fall 2024, where they beat team 500 in the grand final. This was BB’s second victory of the season.
At the Shanghai Major 2024: European RMR A, BB started with a win over UNITY, then faced Vitality and Fnatic, losing both. In the do-or-die match, they beat Nemiga Gaming. Then they defeated sAw, made it to the tiebreakers, but lost to BB Team, missing out on Shanghai Major 2025.
In the 2025 season, they played in BLAST Bounty Spring 2025: Closed Qualifier, qualifying for the main tournament. At the main event, they took TOP-8. After that, they attended CCT Season 2 European Series #16, finishing TOP-16, and had similar results in CCT Season 2 European Series #19 and CCT Season 2 European Series #20.
Before competing at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 (where they qualified through the European regional qualifiers), they placed TOP-3 at CCT Season 2 Global Finals.
At BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, they started with a win over Nemiga but then were defeated without much of a fight by the temporary stage leader – FlyQuest.
Legacy form. What result can be expected from Legacy
We continue our analysis of the Legacy – BB match by reviewing Legacy’s form. The Brazilians are used to being underdogs – and that’s not just for this tournament but in general.
Like most teams here, they don’t show exceptional results, but they shouldn’t be expected to – they only appeared on the competitive scene in August 2023.
They managed to finish TOP-16 at CCT East Europe Series #1 and CCT North Europe Series #7. Later, they took TOP-40 at Thunderpick World Championship 2023: European Series #2.
Then came a couple of decent events – not a series, just two such tournaments. Legacy took TOP-6 at CCT Online Finals #3 and TOP-8 at BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2023.
There’s also a TOP-12 at Copa BetBoom 2023, which isn’t really worth bragging about. Additionally, they finished TOP-6 at Gamer Arena Cup 2023 Season 1.

Before competing at CCT Online Finals #5, Legacy won their first tournament. It was rather modest: they won CBCS 2023 Season 3. Later came appearances at LEON x TEAMPLAY Season 2, CCT East Europe Series #4, and CCT Online Finals #4 – finishing TOP-9 in both tournaments.
The team’s main achievement – if it can be called that – was their performance at PGL Copenhagen Major 2024, where Legacy reached the TOP-20. After that came constant attempts to place highly at various Tier-2 events – CBCS Season 5 and CCT Season 2 North American Series #3, finishing TOP-4.
In the 2025 season, they appeared at several title S-tier tournaments. These were PGL Bucharest 2025 and IEM Masters Dallas 2025, finishing TOP-12 and TOP-16 respectively.Recent head to head: First-ever meetBB and Legacy have not played each other in official matches before.
Players to watch: s1ren and saadzin
The BB vs Legacy match is one of those where each side has its own headliner. Based on the first day of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, BB Team’s standout player is S1ren, while Legacy’s hero of the first matches is saadzin.
Obviously, player performance is influenced by the level of opponents, but still, this pair is worth watching.
Probable map picks
Given the 1-1 bracket format and the fact that it’s a Bo1, the match will be played on a mutually comfortable map. In this respect, Legacy has an advantage. Legacy plays Mirage well, while it’s BB’s first ban. I’d expect a conditional Nuke or Ancient.

Train: Perfect stats (2 wins, 0 losses), but the map is almost never played.
Mirage: Most frequently picked (41.7%) with a high win rate (66.7%).
Overpass: Also has a 66.7% win rate and is frequently used (36.9%).
Average performance: Anubis, Ancient, Nuke: Stable maps with win rates around 54–56%.
Weakest maps: Vertigo: Low win rate (33.3%) and high ban rate (35.8%), Dust2: Win rate below 50% (47.1%), Inferno: Almost always banned (90.3%) and barely played.
Conclusions: Mirage and Overpass are core maps for BetBoom with the best results.Vertigo and Inferno are the team’s weak spots, often avoided, Train has a 100% win rate but is rarely used.\

Legacy shows their best results on Dust2, Inferno, Ancient, and Mirage, with win rates over 60%.
Vertigo is the team’s weakest map, with the lowest win rate.
On other maps, the team shows average performance, with win rates around 50%.

In this match, it makes more sense to bet on BB since they’re more experienced, and based on the first games at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, they looked slightly better. However, a Bo1 format is tricky, and that’s why I’ll bet on Legacy.
