88 rounds — XENEX vs exceL - de_inferno (ESL UK Premiership #1)

Top-6 longest official matches in CS:GO. Photo 6

The longest map on the official matches was played on ESL UK Premiership Season 1. On de_inferno, a long-lasting and complicated battle between Team XENEX and exceL eSports happened.

This uneasy fight on de_inferno was an opening of the first playing day on ESL UK Premiership #1. The scenario was the same as for other matches listed in this list.

Team XENEX played confidently for counter terrorists and when the sides were changed they had 10 won rounds. After a list of lost rounds, the British team managed to pick themselves up and end main rounds with match point.

After that, none of the teams wanted to give up the game, so they started to play additional rounds that took twice as longer time than the main match. In total, 58 additional rounds were played, and 88 rounds in general. This game between two not very famous teams went down to the history of CS:GO as the longest official match. It won't be easy to hit such a record, so 88 played rounds will be the best result at the official matches for a long time in future.
