DreamHack changed the rules of communication with the coach

The organizers of DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017 introduced changes to the general rules of communication for a coach and his team during the official matches. Now, the coach is allowed to talk only 20 seconds before each round starts and 60 seconds when the teams exchange the sides. New rules will be introduced in all tournaments of DreamHack Open series, including the upcoming events in Montreal, Denver, and Jönköping.

  • The coaches can communicate with the team for 30 seconds during 4 timeouts available in one map
  • The coaches can communicate with the team for 20 seconds before each round starts
  • The coaches can communicate with the team for 60 seconds whilst exchanging the sides
  • The coaches can communicate with the team for 30 seconds whilst exchanging the sides during overtime

DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017 will take place on August 30 till September 3 of this year in Malmö, Sweden. 16 teams from all over the world will compete for the prize pool of $250,000.
