OG continues to lead in group B - results of the third round of ESL Pro League Season 14

The third round of the ESL Pro League Season 14 group stage has come to an end. After a day of rest, the teams returned in good spirits, having managed to redistribute their forces in the standings. But first things first.

The first players to come to the fore were Virtus.pro and Sinners. After the first rounds, the Russian team dangled in the tail of the peloton, while the Czechs, led by an experienced oskar, boasted 3 points. However, the face-to-face meeting developed according to the scenario of Virtus.pro, which at first confidently outplayed Sinners on the Vertigo map (16: 9), and then put an end to an equally confident victory on Inferno (16:11).

The next in line were two leaders of the local group - OG and forZe. Already at Mirage, the Russian team showed confidence and composure, as well as a desire to get another three points (16: 8). However, on Inferno, the balance of power slightly changed towards equality, since the teams went into overtime. And yet OG turned out to be a little more experienced in this regard, having hooked on the second card (19:17), thereby obtaining a ticket for the desider. From the very start, Overpass was in favor of forZe, which also began to give up the initiative. As a result, it was not difficult for OG to put the squeeze on the opponent and record the third victory in the group - 16: 8 on the third map and 2: 1 in the series.

In the evening, we again looked behind the dying convulsions of the G2 players, who continued their free fall to the very bottom of the standings. If on Vertigo the Balkan-French still fought somehow, having managed to win the rival's pick (16:13), then on the next two maps there were more failures. As a result, Complexity was able to return to the series on Mirage (16:12), and then won the match altogether thanks to an excellent defense on Dust 2 (16:13).

5 Sinners 1-2 88-100 -12 3

Today, August 25, meetings will be held within the framework of the fourth round. G2 will once again try to score points in the match against forZe, while OG will play against the Czechs from Sinners. Well, the battle for six points between Virtus.pro and Complexity is the highlight of the day.
