StarLadder CIS RMR 2021: K23 Ranks Fourth

The final of the lower bracket of StarLadder CIS RMR 2021 has ended, in which the K23 team met with Spirit. Unfortunately, the intrigue in the match was alive only on the first map, since K23 could not cope with a stronger rival and left the championship, finishing in fourth place. It should be said that the Kazakh team managed to earn $ 10,000 and 1625 RMR points.

The match began on the Inferno map. K23, despite the pressure, was able to decide the outcome in the first half, dominating overwhelmingly for the attack. After switching sides, Spirit players were able to win a few rounds until K23 evened out the economy and returned an aggressive style. Ultimately, the Kazakh team managed to take their peak with a score of 16: 8 and took the lead in the series.

The start of Dust 2 did not bode well for Spirit either, as the opponent quickly stepped forward and won the first half. However, the exemplary attack of the “dragons” made it possible to quickly close the gap, and then bring the matter to the decisive card - 16:10.

On the third map, Spirit started off very confidently, winning 10 rounds before switching sides. However, in the attack, the “dragons” began to quickly slow down, allowing the opponent to come close to them. In the end, everything went to the fact that we would see overtimes, until Spirit showed two good rounds and closed all the questions - 16:14.

Now Spirit will face the loser of the Gambit - NAVI pair. The match will take place tomorrow, July 4, and will determine the second participant of the grand final.
