After FalleN moved to the ranks of Liquid, the community began to discuss the future of the team together with Gabriel Toledo. While everyone was speculating on how far the Brazilian could take the team with his captain skills, FalleN made an amazing statement. It turns out that Jake "Stewie2k" Yip will take over as the captain and oversee the team's actions during the game.

He said in an interview during a live broadcast that Stewie2k is the best in his business, and therefore will lead the team on a permanent basis.

On January 9, Team Liquid announced the signing of Gabriel 'FalleN' Toledo, who took the place of the outgoing Russell 'Twistzz' Van Dalken.

Tonight Liquid will debut with a renewed roster against NAVI as part of the ongoing BLAST Premier Global Final 2020.
