G2 Esports secured a confident victory over paiN Gaming in an elimination match at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026. The series ended 2–0, with G2 controlling the flow of the game on Inferno and Mirage and not allowing their opponents to establish real momentum, thus continuing their tournament campaign.

paiN tried to impose their game on their own map, but G2 won the majority of rounds on the CT side. The Brazilian squad attempted to respond on their own defensive half as well, yet G2 managed to close out Inferno 13:10. Mirage followed a similar script, as G2 once again built a significant lead in the first half. After switching to the T side, paiN failed to get back into the game. G2 secured Mirage 13:9 to seal the series 2–0.

The best player of the match was HeavyGod, who finished the series with 102.3 ADR and a 1.87 rating.

paiN were unable to secure a single victory at the event. The Brazilian team concludes their run with a 0–3 record, finishing in 15th–16th place and earning $6,250 for the team and the same amount for the organization. G2 remain in contention and will continue their journey in the 1–2 bracket. PGL Cluj-Napoca takes place from February 14 to 22, featuring 16 teams competing for $225,000 for first place, with a total prize pool of $1,250,000.
