
MOUZ defeat Falcons and advance to the playoffs of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025
MOUZ secure their spot in the playoffs of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025. In a qualification match for the final stage, the team edged out Falcons 2:1, showing stability, resilience, and strong defensive discipline in key moments of the series. This victory allows MOUZ to finish Stage 3 with a 3-1 record, while Falcons will have to fight for survival tomorrow in the 2-2 bracket.
Mirage (13:11 Falcons)
In the first half of their opponent’s map pick, MOUZ held a slight advantage. Playing on the CT side, they claimed the majority of the rounds and closed the half 8:4. In the second half, the momentum continued as MOUZ extended their lead to 10:4, reducing the comeback chances for Falcons. However, starting from round 17, Falcons completely turned the game around, stringing together eight straight rounds to close out Mirage 13:11.
Inferno (13:6 MOUZ)
MOUZ confidently secured their own map pick. While Falcons managed to respond with a few rounds in the first half, they were completely absent in the second. MOUZ controlled the map and didn’t allow their opponents to find any success on the T side. After a dominant streak of rounds, MOUZ equalised the series 1-1 with a commanding 13:6 win on Inferno.
Nuke (13:10 MOUZ)
The decider on Nuke was a tense battle for both sides. MOUZ partially controlled the map in the first half on the CT side, using disciplined defense to secure the majority of rounds and finish 8:4 ahead. In the second half, Falcons refused to give up and kept trading rounds. However, MOUZ found the strength to close out Nuke 13:10 and secure the series.

The best player of the match was torzsi, who wasn’t afraid to take aggressive positions and finished the series with a 1.2 rating.
MOUZ advance to the playoffs after completing Stage 3 with a 3-1 scoreline. Falcons will be forced to fight for their spot tomorrow in the 2-2 pool. StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 Stage 3 runs from December 4 to 7, with only eight teams progressing to the playoffs to compete for the championship title and the $500,000 prize.
