GamerLegion secured a confident 2-0 victory over Rare Atom at the StarLadder Budapest Major, showcasing full control on both Inferno and Overpass. The European squad left their opponents without a chance: strong first halves on both maps and solid defensive play allowed them to close out the series quickly. The hero of the match was REZ, who delivered 88.9 ADR, a 1.47 rating, and played a crucial role in keeping GamerLegion in contention for a spot in Stage 2.

Inferno (13:7 GamerLegion)

On their own map pick, Rare Atom started on the CT side. In the first half, the Chinese team displayed structured defense and managed to keep the gap small, ending at 5:7. In the second half, however, after switching to the T side, Rare Atom secured only two rounds as GamerLegion gave them no chance and closed the map 13:7.

Overpass (13:5 GamerLegion)

On their map pick, GamerLegion opened on the T side, where they held significant control and map dominance. The European roster built a strong lead in the first half, finishing 9:3. In the second half, Rare Atom tried to close the gap but failed to gain momentum, allowing GamerLegion to confidently finish the map 13:5.

The MVP of the series was REZ, who posted 88.9 ADR, +5.54% Swing, and a 1.47 rating. His impact was vital and enabled the team to stay alive in the tournament.
