Despite entering as one of the main favorites, Legacy were stunned in their opening match at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, falling 10:13 to FlyQuest on Train. After dominating to a 10:4 lead, the Brazilian squad lost control, and Vexite spearheaded an incredible nine-round comeback that secured FlyQuest a 1-0 start.

Train (10:13 FlyQuest)

Many analysts predicted Legacy to finish the first stage with a 3-0 record. Yet in their very first match, despite their favorite status, Legacy suffered a 10:13 defeat. Starting on the CT side, they built an 8:4 advantage. In the second half, their dominance continued as they reached a seemingly comfortable 10:4 scoreline. What looked like an easy win turned into disaster: by Round 15, FlyQuest seized full control and pulled off a remarkable comeback, winning nine straight rounds to take Train 13:10.

Match MVP

The hero of this stunning comeback was Vexite. His aggressive play on both the T and CT sides allowed FlyQuest to create the tournament’s first major upset. His stats were outstanding: 104.5 ADR, +5.45% Swing, and a 1.77 rating.
