The MongolZ move forward after a tense series against Gentle Mates — 13:8 on Inferno and 22:19 on Mirage. The Spanish squad put up a worthy fight against the world’s top team but fell short after three exhausting overtime series. The MVP of the match was Senzu, finishing with a 1.30 rating.

Inferno (13:8 The MongolZ)

The match began on Inferno, the pick of Gentle Mates. Despite a rough start, the Spanish squad managed to catch up, and the first half ended with a narrow 7:5 lead in favor of The MongolZ. Switching to the CT side, Gentle Mates struggled to hold off The MongolZ’s relentless attacks, and the Mongolian team closed out the map confidently, 13:8.

Mirage (22:19 The MongolZ)

On their own pick, The MongolZ fell slightly behind in the first half. Gentle Mates delivered a strong defensive performance on Mirage, taking an 8:4 halftime lead. However, The MongolZ mounted a comeback in the second half, turning the score to 11:8 — just two rounds away from victory. Still, Gentle Mates found the strength to push the game into overtime.

What followed was a true battle of endurance. Neither side wanted to give up — The MongolZ were determined to close the series 2-0, while Gentle Mates aimed to force a decider on Ancient. It took three overtime series to determine the winner, and The MongolZ ultimately proved the stronger and more resilient team, sealing the map 22:19.
