B8 beat Imperial – Austin Major 2025 Stage 1

B8 had to dig deep, but they walked away with the win. Down 4–8 at the half on Inferno, the Ukrainian squad mounted a huge CT-side recovery to take the map 13–11 against Imperial. This Swiss round 1 clash could’ve easily gone the other way, but late heroics and a strong team effort tipped it in B8’s favor.

Imperial looked sharper in the early game, with noway and try cracking open bombsites while chayJESUS nearly pulled off a 1v3 ninja defuse. But the second half was all B8. Headtr1ck and kensizor locked things down defensively, and npl sealed the deal with a sneaky 1v4 post-plant survival in round 21.

Npl earned Player of the Match with 19 frags, 93 ADR, and a 1.33 rating. He wasn’t alone, though, headtr1ck topped the scoreboard at 21–15, while kensizor delivered key impact in the middle rounds. It wasn’t a perfect showing from B8, but their resilience earned them a crucial 1–0 start.
