On December 5, 2024, the Elimination Stage of the Shanghai Major 2024 began, featuring the top 8 teams from the Opening Stage and 8 directly qualified teams. In the second round of this stage, MOUZ faced off against The MongolZ.

Both teams entered the match with one victory each, confidently starting the tournament. The game was played in a Bo1 format on Mirage, leaving no room for error for either side. From the very beginning, the match was intense, with neither team willing to give an inch. The MongolZ and MOUZ traded rounds back and forth, with the first half ending 5-7, and the second half 7-5. This resulted in a 12-12 tie, pushing the game into overtime.

In overtime, the pace of the game slowed as both teams adopted a more cautious approach, knowing the outcome hinged on these rounds. MOUZ appeared to falter slightly due to fatigue, while The MongolZ found their rhythm and stepped up their game. The overtime rounds ended 1-4 in favor of the Mongolian team, bringing the overall score to 13-16.
