Aggressively, as expected for the T-side on Anubis, Imperial secured a streak of five consecutive rounds and ended the first half with a solid 4-8 scoreline. However, FURIA's professionalism and changing of sides fueled a confident comeback.

Both teams fought for a 1-1 record, having each lost their opening matches. Played on Anubis, FURIA started as CTs. Imperial displayed energy and dynamic play, often clinching rounds, but their inexperience led to costly mistakes, exploited by FURIA's resilience. Despite these flaws, Imperial showed impressive preparation, highlighted by a standout A-site hold in the second half's opening round. VINI's Hollywood-level clutch was a tournament highlight, though Imperial ended the day 0-2 in the Open Stage.

Imperial initiated attacks on A with precise entry kills, planting the bomb and holding retakes efficiently. The match saw the Major's first technical pause due to FURIA's connection issues. Imperial raced to a 5-0 lead, even dismantling FURIA's full-buy with ease. However, FURIA countered in the sixth round with disciplined play, reducing the deficit to 1-5. Key moments included Imperial's sniper delivering crucial frags and FalleN's missteps with the AWP. The first half concluded 8-4.

In the second half, FURIA shifted to A in the pistol round, encountering resistance but ultimately securing a thrilling 2v2 clutch by VINI, bringing the score to 4-9. FURIA stumbled in their force-buy, losing A retake situations, furthering Imperial's lead to 10-4. Yet, FURIA turned the tide with coordinated play, exploiting Imperial's mistakes to win a series of rounds. They capitalized on defensive errors, landing precise shots, and made a remarkable comeback to close the game 13-11.
