MOUZ advance to the grand final of IEM Chengdu 2024

The first semifinal of IEM Chengdu 2024 has come to an end. Following the match between G2 Esports and MOUZ, it was MOUZ who emerged victorious from the best of 3 series, eliminating their opponent from the championship.

Results of the MOUZ vs G2 Esports match at IEM Chengdu 2024:

  • 1. G2 removed Mirage
  • 2. MOUZ removed Anubis
  • 3. G2 picked Nuke
  • 4. MOUZ picked Ancient
  • 5. G2 removed Vertigo
  • 6. MOUZ removed Inferno
  • 7. Overpass was left over

On the Nuke map, the G2 Esports team demonstrated a solid attack, winning a comfortable 5 rounds. However, MOUZ pleasantly surprised their fans by dominating their opponents on the weaker side, conceding only 3 rounds in the second half.

On the second map, Ancient, the situation was remarkably similar to the first map. MOUZ secured 6 rounds on the attacking side, but their defense was a complete failure, winning only one round.

The decisive map, Overpass, was more comfortable for G2 Esports, with MOUZ being considered underdogs on this map. NiKo and his team started on the attacking side, where they won 6 rounds, and the pistol round victory nearly guaranteed them a spot in the grand final. However, MOUZ managed to turn the match around, winning several close moments and securing the map with a score of 13:10.
